Let's see what we got here; one Bushmaster assault rifle,-cheap copy of a Colt AR15, a very cheap copy. I sent one back recently, because it ate rounds, literally biting them in half.
three handguns-Oooh?
, a Mossberg shotgun equipped with a sidewinder drum magazine and laser sight- the drum magazine and the laser are legal ( speaks volumes having a laser sight on a SHOTGUN ), unless this Bro' has a duck stamp attached to his leather jacket, he's legal.
, 34 handgun magazines-Boy,oh boy with tissues and a handy jar of powder solvent. He has all the fixins necessary for a circle jerk handgun fantasy!
Just look at those evil Nazi book burners!, think about all that knowledge going up in smoke!
five EMPTY holsters- talk about "going off half cocked!" Those empty holsters fit right in with the hand-gun fantasy mentioned above!, 100 boxes of shotgun shells and about 1,000 rounds of ammunition, I'm sure the rounds were spread out all over the guys mattress. including rounds used in AK-47 assault rifles- Oooooh, bad boy but no actual ak-47's. He's dreaming again!
Police also recovered $1,200 in cash- it's a clothing store, "Paging Detective Nitwits!
Pick up the plastic Matel Rainbow Courtesy Phone"

My first thought was, "I wonder if this guy knows John Muhammed or Lee Malvo?"

"As a convicted felon he was not allowed to have ANY firearms."Okay, and how does his legal status affect the relative size of the "cache" which was the point ,and the only point, of my response?

Police obtained a warrant and searched the store, recovering one Bushmaster assault rifle, three handguns, a Mossberg shotgun equipped with a sidewinder drum magazine and laser sight, 34 handgun magazines, five holsters, 100 boxes of shotgun shells and about 1,000 rounds of ammunition, including rounds used in AK-47 assault rifles. Police also recovered $1,200 in cash. What a bunch of fairies. That sounds like my bedroom closet. Guess we know where all the East German (i think) Stasi went.

Hey, I've never been on probation either, but I do know that you are subject to searches and have a lot of limits to your actions. Carrying ammunition is one of the biggies.

A felony for a "gun crime"? Possession of an SBR? Unregistered silencer? Shotgun whose OAL is a half inch to short? Or was it a "real" crime where he used a firearm in the commission of another crime? That would be the only legitamate offence.
Simple possession of a firearm that the government doesn't like should never be a crime, especially a felony, since the Constitution quite clearly states, "Shall not be infringed".
Or do you have some magical insight into what was going on here?

Randy Weaver was supposedly a "felon" after cutting that shotgun barrel down to 16" as well. Well, that wasn't the bad part, the bad part came when someone shortened the stock another half inch. I wonder if this guys original offense was similar. Knowing BATFE proceedures lately, I wouldn't doubt it.
These are things we want illegal in this country? Especially with a terror threat going on? Shouldn't we ALL be walking around armed to the teeth?

Sorry folks but that ain't no arms casche. None of what I read was illegal. If he was on probation there was probably a "condition" that prohibited him from possessing any firearms.

Shouldn't we ALL be walking around armed to the teeth? Case in point... This one.
I've heard similar stories out of Isreal. We should be doing this here. All of us. Not prosecuting people because the government doesn't like certain people to have guns to begin with.
