A felony for a "gun crime"? Possession of an SBR? Unregistered silencer? Shotgun whose OAL is a half inch to short? Or was it a "real" crime where he used a firearm in the commission of another crime? That would be the only legitamate offence.
Simple possession of a firearm that the government doesn't like should never be a crime, especially a felony, since the Constitution quite clearly states, "Shall not be infringed".
Or do you have some magical insight into what was going on here?
