It was inevitable. George W. Bush was eventually going to nominate a Supreme Court justice. The resignation of Sandra Day OConnor is the moment the right wing have been waiting for. Actually they didnt sit around waiting. They made it all happen when they stole the 2000 presidential election.
Bush may be inarticulate and suffering from some sort of learning disability but he is a very shrewd politician. Just as Thomas was a replacement for a black justice, OConnors replacement will probably be female and to add icing to the cake may also be black.
...
Many years have passed but our memories should not be swept under the rug. If Janice Rogers Brown is the Bush league choice the black community should be unanimous in opposing her nomination. Stories about share cropping families should not be allowed to sway us from speaking out against this truly horrific woman, who said:
In the heyday of liberal democracy all roads lead to slavery.
That statement is so bizarre that it can only be called insane. If Brown thinks that freedom is slavery she should have added that war is peace. As BC pointed out, Bush-approved blacks are always crazier than their white counterparts.
...
Young or someone like him will tell us that nominee X is a fine jurist, a good person, and will make the race proud. So what if he or she is a Republican nominee? Most of us would rather sell our first born than support a Republican and election results prove it. But if OConnors replacement is black too many of us may be willing to forget that fact.

Sour grapes from the deceived and deceiving left wing communist party of America, the democrats and their liberal allies.
I agree completely. I don't want another Clarence Thomas. I want seven more of him. I'll let Scalia keep his seat for now. :-)
Read the quote in context:
In the heyday of liberal democracy, all roads lead to slavery, she has warned in speeches. Society and the courts have turned away from the founders emphasis on personal responsibility, she has argued, toward a culture of government regulation and dependency that threatens fundamental freedoms.
We no longer find slavery abhorrent, she told the conservative Federalist Society a few years ago. We embrace it. She explained in another speech, If we can invoke no ultimate limits on the power of government, a democracy is inevitably transformed into a kleptocracy - a license to steal, a warrant for oppression.
You can see how a liberal hack would object to this but even then they have to quote out of context to make any kind of a point. What the lady said is true. Obviously true.
I clicked your link.
She's a puke.
Makes you wonder if Julianne Malveaux has taken to writing under a pen name.
I'm glad people like this are so ticked off all the time. Makes me laugh.
"Makes you wonder if Julianne Malveaux has taken to writing under a pen name."
Glad you posted this comment.
When I read this, my first thought was about the vile black POS Malveaux and what she has said about Clarence Thomas and GW.
The democraps have to say Bush really lost the 2000 election, because they absolutely worship the concept of majority rule. In their eyes democracy can never do any wrong.. the majority can never do harm.
Yet they view Bush as one of the worst leaders of all time.. so to get around this contradiction in their minds, he has to have 'stolen' the election. Its sad really.
Thanks!
She is a puke and beyond.
It is amazing what comes up on the search when one of these Jayson Blair types trash good people. Just enter their name and gay and see if there is an electronic trail.
Also, when you see an organization trashing conservatives run a search on that organization plus Soros. That is often another amazing electronic trail.
Janice Rogers Brown is a genius and one of the greatest things Bush could do for this Country is to put her on the Supreme Court.
Where to begin...
A truism if ever there was one! How long have liberal/socialist ideology kept Black America on their plantation? The struggle to liberate themselves is more evident than ever and they are spat upon for their successes, called "being too white". Condi Rice, Colen Powell, Justice Thomas, Thomas Sowell, and many others that have taken their well deserved places in America.
Janice Rogers Brown is a credit to her country and to her race; she can read law, interpret its meaning with out resorting to legislating her own views; she truly upholds and believes in the United States Constitution; she has enormous integrity and has proved it many times. Those opposed to her nomination do so for the usual reasons, her high regards to law as written and the United States Constitution - these are simply not those of the Socialists in the country and they are terrified of a person who holds such conservative views and has such a profound love of her country.
Janice Brown is fair in all decisions; to find fault with her is to demean our justice system
.and keep the plantation alive.
From it's inception the American government was abolitionist and the importation of slaves was outlawed in 1808.
I would be interested in just who her Black heroes are.
I had to read this twice to make sure it wasn't satire.
I am waiting for the 'Irish Commentator' take on who should replace O'Connor.
Should it be another Irish-American Justice?
You know they are in trouble when the only argument they have is that people who are likely to vote for their candidate are too stupid to know how to vote.
Thomas, Scalia, Renquist and O'Connor voted against it.
They made it all happen when they stole the 2000 presidential election.

Any trolling DUers please read the above...
Maybe the libs should keep that in mind when they try to stop conservatives from the court. Their property could be in the way of the next hotel and casino.
