I don't really care to understand "why" a crazed jihadist wishes to take the lives of thousands of innocent people. I just want him stopped.
I love it: direct, to the point and effective!
Bingo.....
A great read...thanks for posting it.
Hell, for that matter who would ever want to "understand" the thinking of anybody who thought blowing themself up was a worthwhile idea.
icons, more like idiots.
Excellent post.
I share this writer's opinions. Have since 9/11. The building I worked in was half a mile from the Pentagon. For a couple of days, the lobby smelled like smoke from the fire. Words fail me when I try to express my contempt for the "people" who perpetrated that act.
Let's hope that's 100%.
For the last four years, leftists have pleaded for one thing in how we relate to our enemies in the war on terror. From silly politicians like Howard Dean, who did not even want us to go to Afghanistan; to silly activists like Al Sharpton and silly actors like Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon; to silly talk-radio icons like Al Franken and Ron Kuby, who always seem to rush to the defense of those who commit terrorist acts they've all asked but one thing. "Why don't we try to understand their [the terrorists] position, so we can have a better idea of why they do such things?"
They really just don't have a clue. They seem to think, even, that conservatives almost deserve the terror brought to them by the (cowardly) terrorists, but they fail to realize, over and over, they, too, are targets of the terrorists. And all their misguided faux sympathies (where are their sympathies for the terror victims?) and understanding won't save them.
I expect in a few days or weeks we will hear from Americans in London like Madonna or Cher or Gwyneth, who'll give bland platitudes of leftism and pleas to 'understand', vaguely blaming America somehow, but not necessarily directly. Barf.
Can some great legal mind find a way to criminalize as accessories those bland platitude splatters?
Pitchforks and Lanterns...With a Smiley face!
That's the left's great weakening point. It has communistist roots designed to weaken the Western societies. Everything is always the fault of Western democracies, and we owe the world everything. Our achievements, our civilization deserve nothing compared to the vaunted non-achievements of the Third World 'civilizations' that are breaking down our doors to immigrate into our despicable lifestyle.
It's all about self-hatred and the suicide of the West. And the funny part is that the leftist
BTTT
And the funny part is that the leftist
elitists always assume that they will be the top dogs in the new emerging society. That's exactly what Trotsky, Bukaharin, Rosa Luxemborg, etc. thought until the trap came down on them. Hillary Clinton is another classic example of a leftist elitist who knows better than the rest of us what we all need.
I believe that Dennis Prager said that at the heart of libralism is the naive belief that people are good at heart. Thus, according to the liebrals they were driven to do those horrible acts by conditions beyond their control.
The nutshell of libralism: Self Delusion.
The only thing I disagree with here is "trial".
I think a trial is perfectly acceptable if we go back to conducting trials the way it was done a century or so ago. You capture a person one day, the trial is conducted the next morning, the jury reaches a verdict in the afternoon and the execution is carried the next day in the public square.
Kevin McCullough gets it! It's either as he says, or "peace in our time", "peace with honor", whatever cute words end up trying to cover our backsides as we retreat and give in.
They don't have to care - like all libs they can have it both ways. GWB will protect them and they can constantly complain about how he does it.
