Liberals Are People, Too - (such outstanding "patriots" these people are!)
THE RANT.US ^ | JULY 8, 2005 | DUSTIN HAWKINS

Patriotism: pa-tri-ot-ism; noun: love for or devotion to ones country

Liberals don’t love America. They put up with it. Canada, France, Belgium. Now those are the countries liberals love.

Whenever liberals’ patriotism is called into question they shout out absurd statements such as: “patriotism is a noble act involving dissent and struggle for what one believes is right... protesting the war is a patriotic act.” Or “patriotism is burning the flag.” And, my favorite yet, “Patriotism sometimes requires you to not be patriotic.”

If liberals loved America as much as they say, one would think they would come down on our side every now and then. Instead they threaten to leave America - but unfortunately never do. Conservatives don’t threaten to leave America if they lose an election for that peculiar reason that we actually love America. Liberals’ utopia already exists. It’s called France. Conservatives know there is no better place on earth. Liberals rank America slightly below Cuba, on account of their wonderful Health Care system.

Michael Moore tells us Canada is the greatest country on earth. Alec Baldwin can’t decide whether he wants to leave the country or stone Henry Hyde. Sean Penn, San Francisco Chronicle “reporter,” saw nothing but happy Iraqi children playing in water fountains and chasing butterflies during the glorious Hussein era. The media obsesses over making our troops look like ruthless savages in order to sell their product. Democratic politicians compare our troops to the Nazi’s and our President to Adolf Hitler.

Democratic Senator Patty Murray talked to high school students about how great bin Laden was for building schools and day cares while we were just going in to bomb the Afghani people. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney blamed the United States for it being attacked. Later, in a letter, where she called herself a great “patriot,” she said Bush was behind a conspiracy wherein he knew about the attacks beforehand. Jim McDermott accused the Bush administration of purposely not capturing Saddam Hussein for a long time, shortly after saying that Bush would do anything, lie, in order to get us into a war.

The only way liberals can be considered patriotic is if they use their own fabricated version of the term. But then to them, sometimes it is most patriotic to be unpatriotic.

Now, without a doubt, many liberals don’t like to be called unpatriotic. My mailbox is littered with breathless dissertations of how patriotic liberals really are. It’s really amazing, because until now I haven’t mentioned anything about how un-patriotic liberals are. But still, the only way I could get called more names by liberals is if I were to join the military, at which point liberals would “support” me, in their patriotic fashion of calling me a baby-killing, fascist terrorizer.

Am I really going out on a limb here? It’s not like I’m accusing liberals of being members of the NRA. I’m merely pointing out the obvious. It isn’t that hard to figure out. America is a church-going, SUV-driving, gun-owning, crime-fighting, capitalist society. Liberals hate cars and capitalism, want to set criminals free, excuse dictators, and hate religion, except of course for the religion of peace. There isn’t much liberals admittedly like about America, the “regular folks,” or American mainstream values in general. It’s hard to believe that they actually “love” the combination of these at all.

Love of country relates to the love of that countries values, its institutions, and its way of life, not some value-less land mass. If, for instance, I lived in the U.S.S.R. in its superpower days I would not have claimed to love my country. If liberals can give me ten moderately believable reasons as to why they love America, I will never question their patriotism again. I can write a book about what I love about America. Can they write one page?

Liberals Are People, Too

No they aren't. They're blobs of cells that made it out alive. To their never-ending chagrin.

"Liberals Are People, Too"

To quote Max Bialystok: "They are? You ever eat with one?"

Patriots indeed!

Patriots don't trash their country at every turn.

Patriots don't subscribe to "Critical Theory" which dictates that its adherents endlessly lash out with criticism of their country's history and institutions in order to destroy it and replace it with their dystopian schemes.

Patriots don't give aid, comfort, and moral support to their country's enemies.

IMHO, what these Marxist bastards call "patriotism" is what most of us around here call "TREASON".

And furthermore:

Marxists, leftists, communists, progressives, liberals, et al, advocate a murderous, tyrannical ideology responsible for the cold blooded murder of over 100 million human beings during the 20th century, the enslavement and impoverishment of billions more, and environmental devastation in the regions under its bloody boot heels.

They push for the elimination of every basic human right, confiscation of property, the destruction of the family, and granting all power to a cabal of evil men in the name of some perverse notion of "equality" and "progress".

In advocating such a contemptuous and monstrous ideology, they resign their membership in the human race, and are to be regarded as hostile, savage beasts.

Liberals are people too? Not in the eyes of this flag-waving, gun-toting, American patriot.

The liberals don't like or love the combination, they are
after all "above that"./sarcx

Can liberals offer ONE WORD why they love this country more than Cuber? I'm waiting to hear it.

One of my biggest disappointments is that the people who swore they were going to Canada, didn't go.
