US President George Bush is attending the G8 Summit at Gleneagles, Scotland, which unfortunately was disturbed today due to the terrorist attack in London. British PM Tony Blair left Gleneagles to return to London briefly to assess the situation though returned to the summit later in the evening.
The summit will continue tomorrow but it is expected to end probably a little earlier than originally intended to allow Tony Blair to return to London tomorrow afternoon
Vice President Dick Cheney will undergo a routine exam Friday to check the condition of a high-tech pacemaker that was placed in his chest in June 2001.
Cheney spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride said the tests at George Washington University Medical Center would include a physical exam, an electrocardiogram, an echocardiogram and a stress test. The vice president planned to be back at work later in the day, she said.
"It's a routine physical," she said. She said the vice president also would have a colonoscopy later this month.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice signed the book of condolences at the British Embassy in Washington she also met with the British Ambassador to the U.S. David Manning

You werent in the path of that tornado watch earlier this evening were you?

I just got off the phone with my son Jonathan...the Cubs have a farm team in Peoria and they let all military in free for the games...Jonathan and 2 other off-duty MP's were almost in a fight tonight over a guy seated next to them..he refused to take his hat off during the National Anthem...my son had a fit and asked him why,...the guy replied that he hated the US so why should he...my son was dumbfounded that anyone could say that...I asked him if the guy was a Democrat...LOL....luckily, Jonathan remained cool but he had to restrain one of his friends who was on R&R from Iraq.....
LOL!
Thanks for the schedule! I won't hold my breath that it will stay like that, but I can only hope!
Guess we can't kiss the boo-boo away, and make it all better, can we?
No........he's not on the ping list.
And true to form, he's not only a thoughtless troll, he's a COWARD.
REAL men fall off bikes, and REAL men don't hit and run away.
Many photos of Britain on this thread as well. God bless, Ivan...
I would if I could get close enough! We'll let Laura do it for us!
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my miscellaneous ping list.
I can be the provider of the illustrations. ;)
Snugs, hubby(mike1sg) and I offer our deepest sympathies to your Country...we stand with you, and will not forget...
Wanna bet she already has?
You bet, it's not as if you all haven't been there before
You have FR mail
She's probably the one that put those band-aids on his poor fingers. But I'll bet she had a good laugh at him, too....in a good way!
Here it is just 12 hours after London was hit by 4 massive explosions that killed dozens and injured over 700 innocent people and the RATS are suggesting that this would not have happened if we didn't remove Saddam.
FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I just can't understand why the Democrats would do this. 50 years ago, Alan Colmes and anyone else who sided with our enemies, would be placed before a Military Firing Squad for Treason
'...I love the guy....that's all there is to it...'
He brings that out in me too. While in a Doctor's waiting room today, someone said something nasty about the President...my husband announced to the room.....you'd better be careful, my wife would divorce me for W. LOL. I told this person I voted for our good President and I'd do it again if I could. That was the end of the conversation.
Tell your Son that the next time that happens, to Drop the guy and I will pay the Bail Bondsman :-)
""Meanwhile we will remember and pray tonight especially for LCpl Steven, Marine, currently in Iraq, second tour."
Prayers up for LCpl Steven and all of the courageous troopers who are fighting and WINNING our War on Terror!!?
And may the good Lord bless you and all who hold up our guys and gals in prayer. I know the power of prayer works. And I know not one hair shall be damage on any of them if it is in HIS perfect will, for it to not happend. We serve a mighty and gracious Lord in all imaginable ways of understanding and expression. I give HIM praise for being lead to ask for Steven's name to be added to the prayer list. Along with my standard prayer list, the list I viewed here is now included in my mind.
And least we forget, the hundreds of WIA Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and Pilots, that have been terribly wounded and some truly struggling to heal, and their loved ones sacrifices and hurt, I hope we all remember to hold them up in prayer. I have personally witnessed at a Marine Parent web site I am a member of, where the power of prayer has worked miracles for a badly injured Marine. I a seperate space was set up at this site, and I could download a years worth of updates the dear mom provided us, and the return replies to her, it would make most of our members openly weep for hours. The prayers keep rolling in, and upward. The Marine slowly healed from terrible burns, eye damage, broken bones in limbs and torso etc.. He today a year later, praise unto the living and loving creator God, is now able to PEDDLE A BIKE, he has been held unto by the Marine Corps., to work with Marines and soldiers sent to this particular hosptial in Texas, to help them recover. God does answer prayers of the faithful to HIM. When the mom first told of us what happened. This Marine took a direct hit by an RPG on his Humvee, we held little hope he would even survive. Folks. I don't know how else to say it but from day one I keep telling this mom that someday God would yet again use her son to do usefull things. I can only think it was the Holy Spirit leading me to write what I continue to write to her in a public forum for all to view.
HE is faithful. He is the Supreme Semper Fi.
For many of our young Marines and not so young, the very nature of their moral ethic code on conduct has to with a little understanding and connection point to just how faithful the Lord truly is. And in todays military, I guess this has to apply to all our branches of service. Like our POTUS has said more then once publically. They are amoung our truly best. And so right he is.
May the good Lord bring further blessings upon you.
George
