El Rushbo should have much to say today..re the events in London, and how it will effect the Dems back here..Follow along, and comment away.....
If they do, I sure hope that the pitiful Republican Party would stand together and shout them down. The dems seem to be able to stand together, not the republicans.
sorry, guess I misunderstood
that was reported on SKY News shortly after the attacks - the terrorists England demanded be released came right back and rejoined their cell that previously sponsored shoe-bomber Richard Reid.
well duh! man, will these idiots ever learn?
Wonder how the London mayor is going to get that blood washed off his hands after he recommended those terrorists sue Gitmo IF this is true.
In one of my comments, I said that the propaganda and " Shrill " of the liberals and Democrats is a waste of time.
Oh, my co=workers know not to get me started, but I do keep them informed, even when they don't want to hear it. My family, well my immediate family are all informed, my in-laws, well that's a lost cause. They think Clinton hung the moon and Bush is all evil and we're going to get the draft and how can you support him when you have 3 sons and yada yada yada. We got in to it at Christmas, I told them that Muslims would just as soon kill them as see them breath. Well, it was all our fault.... I just told them that they were WRONG and uninformed and I was not going to discuss it anymore until they got themselves educated. Needless to say, they have not brought it up since.
"You may want to read what the Mayor of London said PRE-7/7"
A statement with a powerful smell. I wonder if he will look at things differently now. Probably not. Instead, he'll probably find some way to blame GITMO for 7/7.
That's ok, the reason that I missed it was because I am in AZ and forgot that the broadcast is delayed one hour. I heard the Boxer answer.
SkyPilot, I'm afraid that British support for the rebuilding of a Jewish national home in Palestine began and ended with the Balfour Declaration. Within a few years (I believe it was in 1922), Britain -- with no legal basis for doing so -- lopped off more than 70% of Palestine and decided to give it to the Hashemite royal family, which felt cheated out of its right to rule Iraq.
Throughout the 1920s the British consistently harassed the Jewish residents of Palestine, and when the Arabs butchered the Jewish community of Hebron, killing, I believe, some 69 residents, the British response was to ban Jews from living there and to destroy that ancient community.
Later, in the 1930s, the Peel Commission advocated partitioning the remaining bit of Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab state, a theory that the Arabs rejected.
During World War II, Jews were not able to flee certain death in Europe and escape into Palestine because the British banned further Jewish immigration. Perhaps you remember the Exodus, the ship that tried to sail from, I believe, France to Israel after the end of World War II -- after the Holocaust became widely known -- and highlighted the problem of the British refusal to provide a safe harbor to the remnants of the Jews of Europe.
There was a tense split between Jewish groups in Palestine during World War II over whether they should be overtly fighting the British (who were, after all, fighting the Nazis) or whether they should fight the British in Palestine, who were overtly siding with the Arabs against the Jews.
Finally, the British threw up their hands and announced that they were leaving. Ben-Gurion took that opportunity to announce the creation of the Jewish State of Israel. Israel was badly armed, because the British did not let in any weapons that the Jews could use to defend themselves from the murderous Arab armies and terrorists. However, the Jews were fighting for their very survival, a mere three years after the end of World War II, and miraculously they managed to beat back the Arab onslaught and establish the State of Israel.
"Are you kidding? He has a huge ego, rightfully earned I guess but I consider it a weakness of his."
While listening to Rush, I think how very humble he is. I consider that his strength.
Thanks for this thread Ken. If you've got a ping list for Rush Live, please add me.

"Wonder how loud the libs will still be squeeling about how bad it all is at Club Gitmo"
You know how libs are. They'll say he wouldn't have done if he wasn't tortured at GITMO.
you speakah the truth
The caller's rant went on one word too long.
I posted a retort to redbob that the British had no, none--abostuley nothing to do with the modern State of Israel=-and you gave me this?
By your post itself it declares the British involvement in Israel?
Then you add accusations of abuse by Britain that are not even proven, and don't even detract from the original premise: i.e. Israel would not exist without the Balfour Declaration.
My gosh--join a Junior High School Debating team.......please.
Does the name Churchill ring a bell?
Again I agree with you I struggle with it on a daily basis. I also pray about it.
