BLAST AT CITY TUBE STATION - FOUR BOMB EXPLOSIONS AROUND LONDON
Sky News ^ | July 7, 2005

Posted on 07/07/2005 1:45:13 AM PDT by RWR8189

There has been an explosion at Aldgate East underground station in London, causing the closure of the entire Tube network.

There are also reports that a second incident took place at Edgware Road station in north west London.

The Aldgate East blast was caused by "some kind of power surge", according to Tube infrastructure company Metronet, which is responsible for maintaining the Metropolitan line.

A spokesman said: "We don't know the extent of the problem yet."

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We have just sent some resources out to the scene."

British Transport Police confirmed that there are "walking wounded" and said paramedics have responded to one report of a person classed as "life at risk".

"It's chaos, with people trying to work out what has happened," said a spokesman.

"All we know at the moment is that staff reported a loud bang at 8.49am. No one is sure what caused an explosion, but it is thought it could have been a collision, a power cut, or a power cable problem."

One witness said the packed underground train he was on was 200 metres from Kings Cross when there was a huge flash.

The train stopped and people were using umberellas to smash windows of the trains. Passengers were led out of the train by underground staff.

He added people were milling around Kings Cross covered in soot.

OMG, what a bunch of middle-eastern hypocrites. They're the only ones allowed to be angry?

Thanks. . .see Post 3,038. MCB is supposedly the leading 'slime group and the point is, they condemn the London attacks and make no effort to mitigate the guilt of the attackers or to shift sympathy from the victims to themselves, whereas, for the 9-11 attacks they did just that.

You have to wonder about the Rat reaction to this attack. Will they attack President Bush as the cause, or will they be upset that the terrorists are making the point that there is a war going on?

"FWIW, I thought he was so angry that he had to be very careful while he spoke."

That was my impression, too.

The Islamists underestimate the British people as they underestimated us.

Outwardly the are "condemning" it but when they get back to their neighborhoods they celebrate like it's our 4th of July.

I see from the report MCB stated, "It added in a statement: “While news unfolds, MCB urges for calm.”"

Hmmm. . .returning to form, I see. Calm? No way. London was attacked and scores killed and hundreds injured. Calm? No way. . .seems MCB is asking for "calm" as code for "don't blame 'slimes."

The rats will do what they always do... Point the finger at President Bush and PM Blair and offer soft words to those in London. However in all there finger pointing, they will not offer any solution to the situation.

Same as before. First they will sympathize for a few days then they will want to analyze the "cause" of the attacks which will always be Bush's fault.

A friend of mine, whose husband is in the Army and has served two tours in Iraq, lives there and has gotten all kinds of grief for displaying "Support the Troops" ribbons. Vile, nasty people out there.

Who is AhlulBayt Islamic Mission? This one seems very strongly worded, to me.

Islamic Mission Condemns London Bombings

On Thursday 7th July, the capital London was victim to several terrorist attacks which have targetted
the general public on trains and buses.

The AhlulBayt Islamic Mission hereby joins the masses in condemning these barbaric acts of terrorism and
shares the grief and sorrow of the nation. Our hearts go out to the friends and families of those who are
victims of this despicable tragedy.

This seems a planned and coordinated act of terrorism and we are confident that the law enforcement
authorities will soon discover the identity of perpetrators responsible for this contemptible act
and bring them to task with the full force of the law.

At this moment of confusion, uncertainty and naturally highly charged emotions, we earnestly
appeal to the media not to rush to judgment.

We call on the British Muslims and non-Muslims to stand united in opposition to terrorism and to
help in safeguarding our society from people who are acting outside of religious values and the law.
We urge anyone who has information on terrorist activities to inform the police immediately and
cooperate with the establishment in order to uproot terrorism. We also call on Muslim Clerics
in Britain to speak out of their opposition to terrorism and preach for state unity at this
difficult time.

We would like to reiterate that Islam is a religion of peace, justice and freedom; and we
disassociate ourselves with any organisation - claiming to be Muslim or otherwise; which carries
out acts which are contradictory to the teachings of Islam.

Verily we are from God and to Him we shall Return.

AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM)
