You are so right. Lawyers, 99.9% of them vote for nothing but democrats that push this politically correct stuff. I think its funny.

If you are a Black man or woman with a college degree, the business world is yours. If you have a graduate or law degree, just wait a few years and you'll be CEO of a major corporation. There is no corporate ladder, it is a one-way elevator to the top. White men have to step to the back of the line. I see this every day in my business dealings.

This whole story sounds like bullshit.

"We are terminating a firm right now strictly because of their inability to grasp our diversity expectations," he added. Translation: Fire a white male now. Promote a black woman to his job. I don't care what their qualifications are.
To: kempo
No, just fire them Bwahhaha Intelligence, work ethics and connections are what makes law firms successful, not skin color. If Wal-Mart wants to try and change the rules for everyone and make it all about skin, they will suffer the consequences. I can't wait for Wal-Mart or any other company to let their million dollar law suits ride on skin color rather than smarts. May as well go to Vegas and bet red/white/black and spin the friggin' wheel.... Can you say STOOOOPID?

I'm not a Walmart basher but Walmart has been in so much trouble for not looking out for the little guy, but suddenly they want to enforce diversity within the law firms taht defend walmart from every slip and fall, pro union, sex age and race discrimination claim, etc. How about paying more money to minority employees? The lawyers are rich. I never been a Wal-Mart basher until this insane announcement. I definitely believe that because of the profit margins that Wal-Mart has continued to enjoy, they could and should (IMO) be more generous to their employees. Having said that, however, doesn't imply that I think it should be be done by force or through legal means.

Why is it that it is only Walmart being called on the carpet here? they are not the only firm listed in this article, and they are far from the first one to do this.
Where is the criticism and statements of no longer doing business with any of the others, such as DelMonte, Pitney Bows, Visa, Sara Lee..........etc?????????

They will all regret this crap one day. This is social and professional engineering at its worst.

Or, maybe it's just that Walmart has peaked. It's happened before, and there's no reason to expect that Walmart could continue to grow forever.
Now that they have become a mature corporate entity, it's time to add the overhead and waste that comes with being a big business.
And Walmart's replacement probably just opened their third or fourth chain store recently. In a few years we will have all heard of them and wonder why so many people used to shop at the dinosaur named Walmart.
Don't believe me? Ask Sears. Or K-Mart. Or Montgomery Wards. Or ...

Wal-mart s the largest corporation in the world and grew that large in a short period of time. They made it there without your advise. The way your talking it sounds like your assuming all women and people of color are stupid. Believe me, I don't like the numbers game when it come to hiring people, I just think its funny that the law firms, who by the way 99.9% vote democrat, are going to get a taste of their own medicine.

Okay, add them to the list also. They will all regret this crap one day. This is social and professional engineering at its worst. That was pretty much my point, and so it makes no sense that everyone is just singling out Walmart as if they were the only ones doing it.

The way your talking it sounds like your assuming all women and people of color are stupid. I assume you meant advice. And in response to your asinine remark, I would never try to claim any credit when it comes to Wal-Mart's success. And just what did I say to make you conclude that I think that people with color are stupid? Can you NOT read? Go back and re-read what I said and see how wrong you are. You owe me an apology.

"Well, from the little scenario that you painted, it looks like Wal-Mart better take care of their own backyard before they start barking in others!"
They're doing just that. The law firms they are talking to work under contract for Wal-Mart.
To: Moonman62
Agreed. . .and they will move on like the dinosaurs.
