I never been a Wal-Mart basher until this insane announcement. I definitely believe that because of the profit margins that Wal-Mart has continued to enjoy, they could and should (IMO) be more generous to their employees. Having said that, however, doesn't imply that I think it should be be done by force or through legal means.
Why is it that it is only Walmart being called on the carpet here? they are not the only firm listed in this article, and they are far from the first one to do this.
Where is the criticism and statements of no longer doing business with any of the others, such as DelMonte, Pitney Bows, Visa, Sara Lee..........etc?????????
Now that they have become a mature corporate entity, it's time to add the overhead and waste that comes with being a big business.
And Walmart's replacement probably just opened their third or fourth chain store recently. In a few years we will have all heard of them and wonder why so many people used to shop at the dinosaur named Walmart.
