Senator Lindsey Graham made it very clear on the Hannity radio show today. If some conservatives thought he would get wobbly in the Supreme Court battle, that fear should now be abated.
Graham will support the Constitutional option if the DemocRATS try to filibuster a qualified candidate because of ideology.
Graham noted that it was not done with Scalia or Ginsberg. It has never been done that way.
He further noted that the President, who was elected twice, made it clear that he most respects Scalia and Clarence Thomas. That is the type of pick Graham expects.
I'll bring the match and the gas.
I think the doubting FReepers are going to be proud at how some will perform in this battle. We are going to win it. A 5-4 solid court; then a 6-3 solid court.
Otherwise know as a complete lack of spine, associated with the Washington WIMP disease that befalls, moderate Republicans and RINO's
"Thanks for the update -- do believe that Sen Graham has felt the heat! YEA!"
Power to the People!
"Folks, we are finally going to change this court."
Don't we need 1 more vote? 44 Dems + 6 possibly still traitorous Dwarves + Specter (who I assume will betray us if his vote is critical)= 51= Dem victory on fillibuster. By my count, we need one more Dwarf to come forward, even if this one is solid.
"With Graham and one other rino that should make 50 votes and with the VPs tie breaker vote that's all that's needed."
Don't forget Specter (Opps, my previous math was wrong. 45 Dems + 6 Dwarves = 51 = dem victory, Specter would vote for us since his vote would not be critical. But if we get 2 Dwarves, Specter will vote against us, I'm sure, giving Dems victory again. We need 3 Dwarves to win. (in which case, presuming Specter has an accurate vote count, he will once again vote with us, because his vote will not matter. He would then wait to ambush us later.) Tough to get 3 Dwarves out of 7.
But Spector promised to behave. He wouldn't lie would he???????
No matter what he does now, Graham has forfeited my support in the future.
"But Spector promised to behave. He wouldn't lie would he???????"
That depends. What do you mean by the words, "He", "wouldn't", and "lie"???????
Judiciary Ping!
