WOW, that poor poor little girl. She will have to endure years of counseling to recover from this, if she ever does!

For the girl not to seek help in the store, the perp must have threatened her bother or she may have already witnessed what he had done to him?

I think so. This is from that site of his, it's the mission statement:

"The mission of The Fifth Nail is to help in the fight against official propaganda that supports discrimination against classes of people defined by mistakes they made in the past, or might make in the future. It is our position that State Sanctioned Discrimination serves no public interest and in fact creates an even more dangerous class of criminals by denying x-convicts a place in our society, forcing them to feel like outcasts with little to loose."

Which is precisely why creeps like this Duncan guy should NEVER EVER be released. They can't be fixed so why should they ever be allowed out to ruin the lives of others?

Of course he should be released --- to a funeral home.

This poor child. My guess--she'd seen what the monster had done to her brother, and feared, or knew she'd be next. Thank goodness for Denny's!

I can't imagine how messed up this little girl will be after witnessing her mom murdered her brothers murdered and then whatever hell she has been thru with this monster. She had already been subjected to mom with her live in doing meth. She has many hurdles ahead of her and I pray she has the strength to get there but I wonder. Her dad should be ashamed for the kids being left in a home where drugs were being done and all kinds of characters in and out.

It would be way too good to release him to a funeral home - given what he did to poor little Dylan. Throw him out like trash just like he did to that sweet little soul.

For what Duncan has done to Shasta's family may even God turn His back on him.

I just don't understand why he took her into the Denny's in the town where they were getting ready to scatter her mother's ashes.

Maybe you could share the details that lead to that conclusion.

What a brave, brave little girl, to still try to seek attention after weeks of captivity and the brutal deaths of family which she may have witnessed. And it worked, thank God. Thank God for that adept waittress. Especially considering what a sociopath Duncan appears to be, known for manipulating and tormenting his victims, Shasta still had the courage to reach out.

Not trying to defend the judge but was this guy convicted or merely accused? If he wasn't convicted the judge didn't have a choice but to release him.

It would probably do her a world of good for her to know that the monster is dead. The sooner the better.

Psychiatrists have acknowledged that these kind of people can't be fixed or rehabilitated so there are only 2 choices, lock them up forever or execute them. I believe this guy deserves the latter as soon as is possible.
