This will probably get shunted off to general chat, but what the hell? I'm bored. So, let's list some irrelevant things and have a conversation about them.
1. All Time Favorite Movie
2. All Time Favorite War Movie
3. All Time Favorite TV show
4. All Time Favorite James Bond
5. All Time Favorite Author
6. All Time Favorite Detective(TV, Movie, or Book)
7. All Time Favorite Book
That should be enough to get us started.
My favorite was The Chief. Poor guy. "Hogan's Heroes" was another good one from that era. More obscure was "Occasional Wife."
didnt john kerry play herman? they ought to do a remake of the munsters and cast john kerry.
id get out the beer and nuts and sit down and watch it
I think I might change my best war movie from the Great Escape to We were soldiers. Thanks for your list.
I'd dust the screen first.
I knew that's who you meant!! Thought maybe Zorro (Guy Williams) might have counted too. Now we all loved Samantha and Jeannie -- did you have any comparable feelings for their husbands/masters?
"Michelle della Fave was the tall blonde"
Boy, I really wanted to marry her. She went from a Golddigger to one of the Ding A Lings. She must be 60 by now. It sucks to get old.
The Golddiggers had a syndicated show with Marty Feldman on it that came on late Saturday nights. That was a great show.
I know what you mean. I've got it stuck in my head right now and I haven't even seen the movie in quite a while. It is one of my favorite movies though.
Yeah, Kerry could play Herman, and Teresa could play Lily. And Byrd could play Grandpa.
"No, Don, *sigh*"
I can see that. You were lucky since he got a lot more lines than Marta.
Oops, that was in real life.
Marty Feldman was HILARIOUS. Of course, with that kisser, he didn't have much choice. Oh man, thanks for reminding me of The Golddiggers. Hadn't thought of them in ages. It reminds me of summer nights -- I think Thursdays.
Over the years, I've learned you're either a Munsters fan or an Adams Family Fan. I'm a Munsters Fan.
Haha. I think LeBeau would have enjoyed it. Carter could probably have been talked into it too.
I haven't seen it, but everyone one I know who saw it said 'don't rush out to see it' kind of review.
i thought it was one of the best sci fi movies i have seen in recents times. the special effects were not too "cgi-ish fakey" and the plot was quite decent as well.
Absolutely, Indy. I actually met Pat Priest a few years ago. Wonderful lady who pretty much retired from acting not long after The Munsters. She clearly though Butch Patrick was "difficult." But what a good-natured and loveable show. I can still remember episodes like the one with Fair Deal Dan or the one where Herman tries out for the Dodgers. Nothing but laughs. And the same writers as "Leave It To Beaver."
Duh, do you even have to ask? And that Davy Jones from the Monkees? Wow! But, I was more partial to Mickey Dolenz. I had a girlfriend who won a date with Bobby Sherman, we were all jealous.
There was some stupid show called "My Living Doll" with Julie Newmar. My older brother liked that show, but I didn't like airheaded girls/women. I liked the shows where the women were clever. I liked Julie Newmar a little more as Catwoman.
Do you still have your copy of "Hey Little Woman"? Dolenz was funny. I used to enjoy the show -- I remember one of the sponsors was English Leather.
I wasn't big into Keith. Bobby Sherman, Davy Jones, OH, remember Love American Style! Wow,
