I can't believe Matt is praising Novak for being such a good reporter in the same breath he bemoans the passing of Crossfire and Capital Gang. Novak wasn't a reporter on those shows....he was a thick tongued foil...nay, stooge.... for any lefty they put up against him.
Maybe Novak was a great reporter, bu from here on out, that will not be his claim to fame.

Dynomite is nothing compared to an object headed in at 1,000's of miles per hour. At least that's what I read: "MIKE SIERCHIO: The difference between the two is 22,800 miles an hour. That speed, and I think it's about 800 pounds, the impactor, creates a force of equivalent to about 4.8 tonnes of TNT."

The few minutes I caught of Stevie at Live 8 (with Rob Thomas -- who DOES get around, doesn't he?) was rather unimpressive. I thought Stevie was staging a comeback. His voice isn't sounding so hot!

Where do we look to spot this comet impact? NASA.GOV seems to be hit hard; I can't get in.

Wow! I wonder if Lennon would have joined Free Republic. If he had the chance. "Jewish schmatltz?" Oh my. Only a liberal icon of Lennon's caliber could say that without repurcussion from the Birkenstock crowd.

I still don't see Hilary as an actual candidate in the 2008 election. Can you imagine any Southern States voting for her? Just the prospect of that nagging shrill voice for four years would scare most male voters.

For me, Novak's columns have always been the thing he's best at.

3. The vetting and hearing process for SCOTUS nominee Clinton would make her damage goods for her Senate campaign and presidential campaign. IMO Republicans won't go after Hillary. They're either afraid of her, or they are gentlemen. (B1 would have gone after her.)
To: olde north church
...I call it Win/Win/Win.Oh my. That would be golden! And then could Bush withdraw the nomination before the vote based on her answers? "Oh my! I'm shocked! We had no idea what she had in mind as a jurist!
