Not that you folks need telling but the Toronto Star is an openly socialist paper. It's jokingly called the Red Star and Toronto Pravda around here.

Blaming FOX is pretty lame. How about blaming all the Canadian media with their hate America agenda?

We're well aware of the trading situation, it would seem that Canada is NOT. They're the ones bashing us at every turn.

Since the left is so convinced that America will go to war for oil, Canada better watch out. A boy scout troop could defeat the Canuckistanis in a few hours.

As long as the Canadian government will not allow competition it is just like Pravda. I think FOX news was only recently(last couple months) allowed to broadcast in Canada?

The ambassador hopes that his new network of Canadians "will be in the millions."

Wonder if part of his plan is to encourage them to vote illegally in US elections... He sure seems to be bent on altering the political dialog in the US, although he would be aghast if a similar style of interference were tried by Americans in Canada (Oh, but I forgot, showing American TV channels in Canada is tantamount to American cultural imperialism, and so turnabout is fair play, eh - < /sarcasm>)...

The link below will lead you to email links for the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C. and twelve Consulates General offices if anybody is interested in voicing your displeasure with the ambassador's comments.

Is this a joke? Two Canadian soldiers (male) married one another?

I saw it posted on Free Republic. According to the article, a male warrant officer tied the knot with a male staff sergeant. Ewwwww!

There's nothing wrong with Canada as a nation that is not also wrong with the West in general, including the U.S.. Canada's specific trouble is its form of government, which can charitably be described as a failed experiment.

What's the problem with Fox News anyway?

You have to be rich to buy into that service as they've placed Fox at the outer reaches of the cable selections, and kept the people waiting more than year while the government "monitored" the channel in the "privacy" of their own little television hook-ups...probably hijacked
off the satellite - something Canadians would get fined for.

Love the two-faced system in Canada....keep it up fellas...
when we feel like paying attention....we'll respond...some day...

Yuk!!!!

Think what that is going to do to morale. I bet their recruitment numbers fall to the basement.

Any idea what the title of the article is? I have super-liberal friends in Canada, I wonder what they think of it.

It's really hard to imagine an American ambassador launching an attack against a network in the foreign country where he's stationed.

Look dude, just go home. Then you won't have to put up with us cretins. We'll try not to offend you by visiting Canada.

I do a lot of business with Canadians (and my father does a HUGE amount of business with Canadians). The Canadians I know basically detest their government, many of them have travelled to the US for surgical procedures rather than wait months for "universal" health care. The problem is the Canadian government, not the Canadian people. Back in the 80's when Brian Mulroney was their prime minister, Canada was a trusted ally, today their government is full of anti-American socialists who fail to recognize that Canada benefits from trade with America more than America does.

Who cares. Canada is insignificant. Alberta, the 51st state.

I don't think so. I think he wants them to become U.S. citizens, and then legally vote to advance what he sees as Canada's interests. He will certainly get the first wish; the second is a different matter.
