If the rescued SEAL's team mates were alive and well when he last saw them. I'm certain the rest will be found in short order.

He was deep in Injun country -- not surprised that he may be wounded, I just hope it is not too serious. It could the hostile weather, terrain may be part of sending him to Germany.

Glad to see the blackout on news -- there may be some big fish to catch still in this operation.
But my concern is that the US munitions they brought with them may be low. They may be forced to use Taliban weapons and ammo. But then the AK47 is fairly reliable I guess, and they probably know more about the AK47 than the Taliban does...

It does my heart good to know that we at Freeperdom care and support our troops. It would be pretty lonely to hear about the war on Terror without my fellow freepers and I am sure that the troops appreciate our support, even if they are most often not directly aware of us. The patriots are also what keeps Fox and good internet sites going too.

You are terribly confused - There are not 15 SEALs missing (or 15 soldiers) - There are less than 8 SEALs missing (if that) - The US SOF recovered today (rescued) was a SEAL (he was part of the original SEAL Recon Team that was overrun) -
The 16 men who died in the MH47 helicopter crash were part of an QRF that were coming to the support of the engaged SEAL Recon Team -
Is it possible the details will remain classified?

An U.S. serviceman rescued from the mountains of Afghanistan was being evaluated Monday, an official said, while American forces pushed on with their urgent search for other team members.

A member of an elite U.S. military team missing in Afghan mountains since last week was rescued, an U.S. Defence Department official said. He declined to say when the rescue occurred or provide other details, including a reaction to reports that the team consisted of several U.S. Navy Seals.
Marie Shaw, a spokeswoman for Landstuhl Regional Medical Centre in Germany, told The Associated Press on Monday that the rescued serviceman was still in Afghanistan. A decision whether to send him to the medical centre in Germany would come later Monday or Tuesday, she said.
U.S. military spokesman Lt. Col. Jerry O'Hara declined to comment on the rescued serviceman, but said an unspecified number of other troops were still missing in the mountains. ``We still have missing servicemembers. The search continues and all available assets are being used,'' he said.

Kabul - One member of a group of U.S. soldiers missing for nearly a week in north-eastern Afghanistan was rescued, the U.S. broadcaster CNN reported Sunday, citing U.S. military sources.
The report stated that the circumstances of the rescue were not disclosed in consideration of the ongoing effort.
