Ouch! I know how that feels, that little electric motor in my front wheel means that when I crash I am really hauling tail, but you don't have much of a life avoiding danger.

Dear Jacknife: God bless you in your pain, and I hope you are able to get the rest you need over the holiday. Perhaps, Monday, you can go see your dentist and ask him about providing some acrylic "caps" for your broken teeth. They are only temporary, and not very strong, but they will allow you to smile. If the broken parts are small enough, he can use an acrylic substance to replace the broken pieces.
Hang tough, and, you pray, too, ok? Love and prayers,
Redhead

Here's one to you from a fellow bike commuter. Get well soon.

Oh dear, the stomach turns thinking of the pain you're enduring. If it's not too painful, temporary caps may be in order for your teeth. Who knows if there'll be so much nerve damage that root canals will happen later. Anyway, temporary and, later, permanent caps, will look just fine. You're in my prayers.

Prayers to you.
Try asking your dentist (who, presumably, is going to eventually repair your teeth) to make a fast clip-on set of caps for the wedding day. Mine once made a false tooth that was held in place by a wire and a dab of denture creme. It was only meant to be cosmetic. It was ok for smiling and speech but not for eating.

Ouch! You have my prayers for comfort and quick healing.
BTW, are still a framer? I worked at a frame shop here in Houston for a little bit. One of the most interesting jobs I have had.

My prayers are with you, asking the Lord to help you recover quickly from your injuries, so that you can return to work, and resume your regular activities.

Prayers up.
I do have a question...those gay looking helmet bicyclists wear, they must be designed by a Frenchman, are worthless. If you must wear one, why not demand Bell or some other real helmet manufacturer make a lightweight, say clear lexan, full face crash bucket?
To: jakkknife
Ouch. I'm glad it wasn't worse. Praying for an easing of your pain and a quick recovery.

Prayers for your complete recovery. I can relate to your injury. I fell down 5 cement steps about 5 years ago. I only cracked a rib and dislocated my wrist but I was stunned for several days because of the hit to my jaw and the side of my head. I felt like a prize fighter after a fight I suspect. Like you, my family didn't realized how badly hurt I was and they ignored me. If you bike to work every day you are probably in great physical shape which will help in your recovery. The best to you.

Put "Neosporan" ( other store brands do not work as well) on your cuts every morning and at night before you go to bed. It will help them heal faster, so the wedding pictures won't look so bad.
Prayers sent for a quick uneventful healing.

Prayers headed your way, sweetie!
Drink lots of milk and eat lots of meat. Your bones will need all the help they can get to knit. And follow your doc's orders TOTALLY.
I have a crooked collarbone to demonstrate what happens if you don't. Be a lot worse to have a zigzag in an arm bone than in a chicken wing like mine is.

Jakk, I'm sorry to hear about your accident. I pray for your full recovery and healing. Dentists can sometimes reset the teeth if they get them in the right condition. I don't know if you kept them. Please take it easy and I hope you recover enough to get back to work, if you really have to.
To: jakkknife
Prayers for comfort and quick healing.
