I am curious how that is gonna work in the Dallas area...his show with ABC is supposed to run from 12:00-2:00,

Dallas loses the last hour of his show, he now runs 9:00 - 11:00 (CT), with Paul Harvey and then Rush at 12:00

BTW, I gotta stick up for Davis here. I listen often and "pompous, condescending" just doesn't describe him IMHO. One of the main reasons I enjoy his show is the attempt he makes to treat all guests and callers with respect, even those that manifestly DON'T deserve it. To each his own, but I'd be interested in hearing an example if you can remember a specific instance of the behavior you describe.

The best advice for GWB and his SCOTUS pick is as follows and comes from Betsy Newmark. For you FReepers that have not discovered her site it can be found at betsyspage.blogspot.com and is a great read. Check her out.

My advice to the President. You and the nominee will get hammered and vilified no matter whom you pick. If the nominee were the reincarnation of both John and Thurgood Marshall, the press would portray the nominee as another Roger B. Taney. So, Mr. President, my recommendation is that you just pick the most conservative, qualified, and youngest nominee that you can. Forget the critics since there is no one you could nominate that wouldn't excite the leftist base. They have been gearing up for this battle for four years and their fund-raising depends on raising a fuss. There is no way that they will defer to Bush's choice. So, swing for the fences, Mr. Bush. Your base is there for you.

Thanks Betsy for your great insight. Let the fight commence.

Of course but then the media tends to be left wing. One thing I am thankful of in the UK at least we do have 2 national newspapers that are right wing and do not shy away from that fact. What seems to be the case from what I see of the States they pretend to be non bias when in fact the majority are left wing.

Glenn Beck was the first talk show host that I heard talk about the Terri Schiavo case...lllloooooong before this got to the MSM...

He is very close to the family and even went to their memorial service for her...he just doesn't have a national cable show to talk about it like Hannity did..

From National Review:

It’s All About 9/11
The president links Iraq and al Qaeda — and the usual suspects moan.

Please see this. Also, Rush had a great newsletter on this and I believe there was a thread here on this.

Are you kidding? Do you really think these Sunday shows CARE about the lives of our troops?

Heck no...the only way any "war news" is included is if it includes torture or some other wrongdoing...

I just heard though on Fox that ONE of the Special Forces men have made it to safety...they don't know about the other 3 though...

BTW, the ditz that is replacing Wolf Blitzer today, is exactly that---a ditz!

The libs are chomping at the bit on news that Rove spoke with Time magazine's Cooper at least (I don't know if he was Judith Miller, or even Robert Novak's source) re: Valerie Plame.

This may be something that's widely known by people who've followed the story more closely than I, but I just learned that it was Cooper who contacted Rove.

Bork, on CNN, just said what I have been thinking for weeks. "Moderate" is nonsense in the context of a judge. The judge is to follow the law. Moderate is a political terminology. Not what the Courts are supposed to be.

Judge Robert Bork getting borked again by some lame brain CNN chickette literally "reading" from her talking points.

Looked like a blindsided attack. You could tell Judge Bork was not too happy about it But he should have known better than to go on CNN for any reason. They are the pitts.

They showed an 18 year old video clip of fat teddy kennedy lie and then compounded the lie by another present day Kenndy rant. Thoroughly disgusting.

The chickette is so lame, brainless.

We have no national newspaper or weekly that speaks the truth.

It was this way since the Washington Post was taken over by Katherine Graham.

Now there is no place but the Washington Times, which is local, with a nationally distributed weekly.

Nope, can't name an incident, because it is his "attituded" that is pompous and condescending, IMHO...

BUT, you know what, I don't mind that you disagree...different strokes for different folks...okay?

Besides, I like Laura Ingraham so much, even if I liked Mark, I wouldn't listen because he is up against her..and Glenn Beck.

The other connotation of moderate is moderate in ruling I know in the UK if a Judge was referred to as a moderate it would mean that he tends to hand out lower sentences. In other words slap wrist naughty boy don't do it again.

Cooper is Mandy Grunwald's husband. Does anything think Rove would leak to ANYONE, let alone a rabid leftist America hater.

I just re-read your post and you said that Mark's show will run from 9-11---lose one hour and then Rush at 12:00

What is going to be on from 11:00-12:00? Why doesn't the station just do us all a favor and run Rush LIVE then, instead of delaying it one hour?

Clinton won in 1992 with 43% of the vote and 49% of the vote in 1996. I remember Clinton whining back in 1996 that he really wanted to reach 50%.

Clinton won by a plurality....which if Webster still matters means: "the votes cast for the winning choice if this number is not more than one half of the votes cast."

Any way you look at it, a majority voted for someone OTHER THAN Bill Clinton in both 1992 (57% against Clinton) and 1996 (51% against Clinton).

A majority, not a plurality, voted to return George W. Bush to office in 2004.

Here is a statistic for you in our recent elections the Labour Party only got 35% of the vote with the conservatives receiving 33%. Yet the Labour were returned with a majority of over 60 seats.

You know other than BOR and Hannity and colmes many of the cable shows are dramatically overrated.

For instance with all the fuss made of chris matthews hardball show he is lucky to ever break a million listeners and can go as low as 250,000. Limbaugh has 20 mill, hannity 15 mill and most of the other conservative talkers in the millions and rising every day.

I bet Mark Levin and Monica Crowley have as good a numbers as Matthews from time to time on just "one" radio station WABC.
