Juan Williams pushes for Gonzalez on Beltway Boys
Fox News-Beltway Boys

Apparently, liberals think Alberto Gonzalez has the best chance to be the next John Paul Stevens/David Souter. That is, a liberal turncoat appointed by a Republican President.
Juan Williams, the most reliable left-wing talking head on the Fox News Network, pushed for a Gonzalez nomination to the Supreme Court on this week's edition of The Beltway Boys.
Here's hoping that George W. Bush doesn't waste this golden opportunity to get another Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court.
It's time to go to the mattresses.

Alberto is our current Attorney General. He and W go way back to TX.
Alberto Gonzales is our current Attorney General..... And I agree I don't think it will be Gonzales at this juncture. Maybe a late pick in his Presidency if one opens then. jmo.
But Alberto Gonzale[z] is in the CA DOJ..... That is the spelling used by the author of this thread.

I think you are so right. He must have had a conversation with Sandra and like a gentleman he told her to leave first and tend to her family. As soon as she is replaced he will be next.
Democrats will drag their feet deeper if the replacements near the end of President Bush's second term in hopes of hijacking one of the replacements.

Its best for Bush to pick someone with no name, no record no body, no dog, no life, and no relatives ...that way no one can say anything bad about him

I could not imagine you not knowing who the AG was. I did not notice the diff in spelling.

I think Edith Jones would be a great nominee if naming a woman seemed to be an important factor. Senator John Cornyn would be an outstanding choice. He was brilliant on the Texas Supreme Court before running for senator.
I'm really not worried about who Bush will pick. He's picked outstanding judges every time. He's not going to flub this one.

If Juan thinks he'd be a good pick then I disagree on that basis alone.

Is that you Dr. Dean?
You are 100% correct, straight out of the nauseating Dim playbook which we know so well.

It really doesn't matter, though. Gonzales would have to recuse himself from too many important cases because he's currently AG.

The man knows more about the Constitution than at least four of the current of Justices, and maybe all of them.

Williams is an idiot anyway. Why even put his name in a prominent location to give him a modicum of respectability. He must be Fox's version of the South Park character 'Token'.

I have heard it and seen it on various shows and "first impressions are lasting impressions, further impressions reinforce". Noisy, vile.
Neither do I care about what it had ghostwritten for itself.
