I revealed in yesterday's taping of the McLaughlin Group that Time magazine's emails will reveal that Karl Rove was Matt Cooper's source. I have known this for months but didn't want to say it at a time that would risk me getting dragged into the grand jury.
McLaughlin is seen in some markets on Friday night, so some websites have picked it up, including Drudge, but I don't expect it to have much impact because McLaughlin is not considered a news show and it will be pre-empted in the big markets on Sunday because of tennis.
Since I revealed the big scoop, I have had it reconfirmed by yet another highly authoritative source. Too many people know this. It should break wide open this week. I know Newsweek is working on an 'It's Rove!' story and will probably break it tomorrow.
Don't you know the left is just salivating for the chance to do ANYTHING to try to take Rove down. Methinks they're just whistling Dixie. Even if Rove did mention Valerie Plame to a reporter, it wasn't a secret. Hadn't her husband already told some folks about her job at the CIA?
Yes, I'm well aware of MurryMom's ways.
Could you cite three or four of the instances when Dems "leaked major security info many times, which put our undercover agents IN country into danger and even have gotten them killed" ?
I completely agree
Its times like this I wonder if we can really afford an "independant" media.
Here's the key bits from the Newsweek story. First you get the scary innuendo:
"The e-mails surrendered by Time Inc., which are largely between Cooper and his editors, show that one of Cooper's sources was White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove, according to two lawyers who asked not to be identified because they are representing witnesses sympathetic to the White House. Cooper and a Time spokeswoman declined to comment. But in an interview with NEWSWEEK, Rove's lawyer, Robert Luskin, confirmed that Rove had been interviewed by Cooper for the article. It is unclear, however, what passed between Cooper and Rove."
Then you get the boring truth a few paragraphs later:
Luskin told NEWSWEEK that Rove "never knowingly disclosed classified information" and that "he did not tell any reporter that Valerie Plame worked for the CIA." Luskin declined, however, to discuss any other details. He did say that Rove himself had testified before the grand jury "two or three times" and signed a waiver authorizing reporters to testify about their conversations with him. "He has answered every question that has been put to him about his conversations with Cooper and anybody else," Luskin said.
Thank you very much.
Exactly as suspected.
My theory is that Cooper, Mandy Grunwald's husband and a rabid Democrat, may have tried to illegally contend that Karl Rove was his source and does not want to perjure himself before the Grand Jury. This makes sense then that the MSNBC O'Donnell operative would claim it was Rove in Cooper's notes, but Cooper is trying to avoid testifying since they have the notes. The notes could be a lie and attempt to frame Rove. If the SP knows this, Cooper (and Miller) are in a world of hurt ...
I believe Buchanan was also subbing for Joe when Rabbi Shmuley called someone an "ignorant peasant" ... Poor Pat LOL
Don't get your hopes up.
OMG, THAT'S who this is? LOL. I didn't really buy it before about Rove being the leaker, now I REALLY don't buy it.
LOL! You just keep havin' those wet dreams honey...
O'donnell is a nut job. He has made himself out as a liberal nutjob.
I'm waiting for O'Donnell to slink back under a rock when he's proven wrong.
Tonight, O'Donnell's claiming Cheney was drunk during the hunting incident. I searched for this as an example of how reliable Larry is when it comes to "exclusives."
He's a jackass drunk internet moonbat who makes up stories instead of going through the trouble of finding real ones.
