And do they play Calvinball? A lot of what goes on in academia is the intellectual version of Calvinball.

Whatever happened to Bill and why did he stop such a great comic strip in 1995? My understanding is that he wanted to quit while he was ahead rather than risk having the strip get tired and stale. He certainly didn't need any more money at that point (unless he wasted it on some damnfool thing, which he presumably didn't), and could thus make the decision on purely creative grounds.

The SCOTUS has definitely been playing Calvinball with our Constitution lately.
Fortunately, that fellow who wants to build "Lost Liberty Hotel" understands Calvinball rules, too! ;o)

Thank you for the Calvinball rules. My boys definitely play Calvinball - in all of its forms!
They little rowdies are off at swim practice just now, but I see we have "Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat" sitting across the room, waiting to be picked up this afternoon. C&H rule.

"smart kids love C&H!"Our boys not only love C&H, but also go for Charles Addams. Smart and just a little twisted . . . they fit into the family just fine!
To: OB1kNOb
Actually, you may want to wait a tad. On October 5th, they'll be releasing "The Complete Calvin and Hobbes", a hardbound 3 volume set of every C&H strip every published. It'll be 1400 pages worth of Calvin.

My jedis insult each other by calling each other "big ugly galoot"! Straight from C and H.

Personally I'm happy that calvin and hobbes stays just as it is; in the end a tribute to someone who stayed true to his principals. For those of you who want to read them try this link i'm sure you'll find it satisfying.

"And do they play Calvinball?"
Isn't that the same thing as "Trench"?
