You can bet that the clinton's ASKED to be on that stage. You're right, Billy's handlers deserve the blame . . .

But so do the shameless, manipulative, unabashedly aggressive and ambitious clintons.

I think he was joking. I personally don't think it was the wisest way to joke, given the Clinton's ego and aspirations, but I don't think he was lending his voice to a Hillary run. It may have even been a private stab at himself. If you've read anything that his wife, Ruth, has written, you'll see that he comes from a family where men are the rulers. He eventually came to see that God has a sense of humor in leading him to Ruth. She is a take-charge woman from a family of strong women who never considered that a man would think she should take her place. Over the years, the good reverend came to see how much he needed her strength. I think he was good-naturedly identifying with Clinton that he too had such a wife. The problem is, of course, that Ruth had his better good in mind and truly cared about others. Hillary cares only about herself, so the identification falls apart.

I disagree. I think Franklin has his father's fire and then some.

So much for him being filled with a discerning Spirit of God.
No way on this earth would she be a Godly choice for President.
You know the Graham quote will be a Hillary ad in 2008.
He'll probably just die as the race is finalizing to top off the damage done.

IMO, the Devil, not God had his last way here with Graham.

I know he has water on the brain and is elderly, but this is like the Pope coming out for abortion when Graham endorses Hillary for President.

Graham is a LIFE-LONG DEMOCRAT of course he would prop up the Clintons. This should come as no surprise.

Did Dr. Graham specify which country?

Here's the actual quote: "I told an audience that I felt when he left the presidency he should be an evangelist because he has all the gifts and he'd leave his wife to run the country."

I think Bill would leave his wife if it meant he could run the country again.

He cracked a "off the cuff" joke.

Most people probably didn't find it funny.

I didn't think it was funny.

That said, it was just a joke.

People need to relax, Hillary doesn't have a prayer of winning the white house anyway.

He could have made the same joke about Al Sharpton, the humor would be the same, but at least then no one would have taken it seriously.

Billy is and will always be the best. Franklin can not control him. Billy Graham admitted he made a mistake getting too close to LBJ and Nixon during their years in the White House and has since been as nonpolitical as possible. His message on domestic politics is that they are of little importance when it comes to the word of God. And while he is careful not to judge those in the ministry who have dabbled into domestic politics, he says that he stay does not wish to distract himself from the message of bring souls to Jesus.

His message about the Clinton's, if she is elected President it will have little affect on his goals or mission, because his mission is something more important than the next election. So I wish people would lay off Billy Graham like the Pope John Paul II we are going to miss him when he is gone lets enjoy him while we have him.

That is because the Father took it up as a ministry and the Son continues it as the family business.

When I was a child and had a Billy Graham revival in our area and I heard BG speak (now I was about 7 or 8, knew little about religion in general accept what I was exposed to) and I must say in my innocents I wanted out of that tent....it gave me the creepies!

I have tried to be generous throug the years, tbat he is doing good the best way he knows how.......but this finally statement he made has proven true along he is a phoney!

"Graham called the Clintons "wonderful friends" and "a great couple," quipping that the former president should become an evangelist and allow "his wife to run the country."

I don't think you should hold animosity towards those who are doing contrary but we are required to up hold GOOD and not dilute truth!

Well at least he got one thing right. Bubba should quit his day job and become an evangelist.

I don't know about that. If we wind up with another Bob Dole then she very well might.

He voted for George W. Bush, despite his political affiliation.

He'd probably be one of those corrupt evangelists, like Swaggart or Bakker.

I don't know about that. If we wind up with another Bob Dole then she very well might.

If my left boot was the GOP nominee in 2008, it would probably peel off about 2 blue states from her.

We could run an inanimate object like a doorknob or a car door and still get a little over 30 states.

She has no chance nor prayer of peeling off any single red states and she throws about 5 blue states back in play.

She is a myth created by the dems and the media and used by the GOP to raise money and keep the base from growing complacent.

So...does the Rev. Billy Graham officially have Alzeimer's? He's lost it.
