HA! The caller makes a great point ...DDT is banned, though, he's talking about FDA here in the U.S. so what does that have to do with Africa?

Nothing has ever been said on any of this by the CLINTON-Controlled mainstream new media.

This is just one in a long list including Vince Foster,
etc.

Forty-one members of the U.S. Congress have signed an open letter to President George W. Bush urging a stiff government review of Cnooc Ltd.'s $18.5 billion unsolicited acquisition offer for Unocal Corp.

Signed by both Democrats and Republicans, the letter, reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, said that the Congress members "are very concerned" about Cnooc's $67-per-share offer.

The letter represents what is sure to be an acrid political and shareholder campaign between Cnooc and Chevron Corp., which has already agreed to a $16.2 billion cash-and-stock offer. Chevron is trying to stymie Cnooc's offer by raising national-security and energy-policy concerns in Washington.

The 41 members of Congress don't raise any prospect for legislation, and fall far short of representing a voting bloc that could pass a bill in the House of Representatives.

But they do show that there is a vanguard of China skeptics in Congress who could agitate against a deal if it were to progress.

The letter called for an immediate examination of the proposal by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, or CFIUS, a government group chaired by the Treasury Department that reviews foreign acquisitions.

Under the terms of CFIUS, however, a deal can't be officially examined until it is agreed to by both parties.

If the SCOTUS says the Ten Commandments cannot be displayed in public buildings, and the citizens of those cities/states decide otherwise, screw what the long black robes say.

I read a recent thread about losing aid when they spray the hut's, um, abode's walls with DDT (about every
6 months, iirc).

Can't recall whose or what aid.

FWIW, people from the CDC, etc, rotate through the WHO non-stop.

The Ten Commandments are part of US/World history.

17 minutes to go, and I still haven't caught anything about MJ. Not even the passport?

Oh, individual property ownership is bad. Bad. Bad.

Shame on us for not going along to get along. It's like paying your fair share, in acquiescence. We all need to pay our fair share.

and Unocals North American costs are three times their Indonesian costs....

Unocal's North America oil and gas exploration and production business includes activities in the United States and Canada. These businesses are operated directly by Unocal or held by an equity interest.
Unocal's North America E&P activities in 2004 accounted for 38 percent of the company's natural gas production and 44 percent of its liquids production.

Unocal produces oil and gas in 7 countries outside of North America. The company currently operates or participates in exploration and production projects in Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, The Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Congo and Brazil.
Unocal's international operations in 2004 accounted for 62 percent of the company's natural gas production and 56 percent of its liquids production.

The key to growth in our international oil and gas operations is technological innovation and application. Unocal has consistently been in the forefront of technology leadership, allowing the company to be among the industry's low-cost international producers

He needs the exposure, assuming he's in a presentable condition.
