Here in the Mohave desert we only got up to 85. (The average high for this date is 93.) Weirdly cool weather, but I think it's going to heat up by next weekend. We might break 100 Friday or Saturday. How ya been! Where ya been!

I've been fine, although sweltering on the east coast. 98 at my house today, with thick humidity.

I looked up "Brazilians migrating" and found numerous instances of Brazilians emigrating out of South America (mostly here but not all here) in the late 80's. To the tune of 1.25 million people out of Brazil. So it's perhaps not the biggest news ever.. I don't know.
