Also - I got the impression at some point hearing her mother speak that when she (the mother) got to Aruba they had talked to kids that were there and knew it was Joran.. tho' maybe I misunderstood.
I think too that the kids are giving conflicting stories... BUT let's face it - they were drinking. Their memory is probably a little foggy..
JMO, I take what these two say with a grain of salt.

Translation: Not a close friend.
Sounds reasonable to me. The Croes guy could easily fess up and burn all of them. I'm thinking he'll be the first to spill his guts if they did dump Natalee's body in the water. Doesn't sound like the Dutch judicial system will make any types of plea bargains. I'd think that would be very helpful about now.

I'm wondering if Natalee was warned not to go to C&C since Jug said that he had already knew about the happenings at C&C prior to Natalee leaving for the trip.

Yes, I've heard that too. Will be interesting to see if the 'street talk' is true or not. I suppose there are logical reasons Croes was arrested: He's got access to a boat (to dispose of a body) and I'm sure there are phone records of PvdS calling him, which could legitimately be explained as a job inquiry (as reported earlier after PvdS was turned down for a judgeship).
Also, I believe others in her family had been to Aruba previously and just maybe, got acquainted with some ilanders.
Aruba LE certainly seem to have something they're using as evidence and emails would certainly fit in. It's also something that Natalee's parents might know, but aren't able to reveal at this time.
Her mom and step-dad didn't seem to have much trouble zeroing in on the van der Sloots within 3 hours after they arrived in Aruba after Natalee's reported disappearance.

I don't think that would be a legitimate explanation. They should be able to trace how much cash PvdS withdrew. I wonder if Croes deposited any or whether they found it by searching his home or the boat.
Did you get the impression that Mama Kalpoe kind of favors Satish? I did. Whenever she talked about him, her smile got broader. When she mentioned Deepak, it was hurriedly--he goes to school, he works, he's up all night on the computer.
Not that it means anything, but then again, maybe Satish has been telling her incriminating stuff about his brother.
