I suppose there are logical reasons Croes was arrested: He's got access to a boat (to dispose of a body) and I'm sure there are phone records of PvdS calling him, which could legitimately be explained as a job inquiry (as reported earlier after PvdS was turned down for a judgeship).

I don't think that would be a legitimate explanation. They should be able to trace how much cash PvdS withdrew. I wonder if Croes deposited any or whether they found it by searching his home or the boat.
Why would PVDS be calling Steve Croes for a job inquiry when Steve Croes is only a DJ on The Tatoo. That lie would not go over very well.
The Croes that was trying to find PVDS a job was/is the Justice Minister.
