That IS an easy way to fix it. But the easiest way is to TAKE NO PRISONERS in the first place.
Sure, do that, however before releasing them, it's a good idea to expose them to some ebola-infested monkeys, so that they'll spread the viruses to their fellow terrorists in their homeland.. how's that.

Republicans, with some exceptions like Tancredo and Allen, are just wimps. They just want to stay in Washington and will do NOTHING to risk that, even if it means condoning treason and traitors like those listed above.

Yep it is hard to believe that someone who was a POW and who is a US Senator would be so uninformed about the reason POWs are not put on trial.
I would gladly take a few from Gitmo on a weekly basis and they WON'T turn around and attack the US.

I think many people would help out.
I believe John was held prisoner for 5 years. Ask John if he had 3 (special order) squares a day, exercise, clean clothing etc. And ask him when he was tried by the Judicial system in that country or did they just keep him until the end of the war. McCain has to do some soul searching and get over his bitter loss to Bush. He might just come around one of these days.
He is NOT uninformed, he is being political, which is worse, IMO.
