What just happened in sky over Los Angeles?

About ten minutes ago, Husband in hills behind Brea, between Brea and Chino Hills, spotted in the northwest what looked like something entering the atmosphere. We grabbed binoculars, and it was extremely high altitude, coming in, not going out. Anybody see it? Can probably still spot it further north, as in Pasadena, etc. Grab binocs and look.

Did it resemble a classy green-eyed host around the sun?

Got to go eat burned dinner now, but will check back. REally, this isn't to be funny or UFO ish or anyting, just wanting to know WHO else saw it and if anybody has any serious ideas what it is. NOT a meteor -- go see for yourself if you're in Northern California.

Finny I saw it too, FWIW. Big object, very high, most DEFINITELY NOT A METEOR. Twin-forked burn.

Husband is sure of curvature. Only color I saw was white. If I don't answer any other queries for the next 10 or 15 minutes, it's because I'm eating dinner. IF YOU'RE IN NOR CAL, PLEASE GRAB BINOCS AND LOOK FOR SUN REFLECTING OFF BURN TRAIL IN SKY.

Decaying satellites burn various colors such as green and orange. Meteorites are usually just white.
