To the Left, America's Never Right - (excellent - controlled, justified diatribe!)
CHRONWATCH.COM ^ | JUNE 19, 2005 | EVAN SAYET

I spent the last week with my Modern Liberal relatives in New York. It was excruciating. What I found was cynicism beyond belief -- and beyond all rational (in fact any rational) thought.

The correct answer to all things was whatever the worst interpretation of America and Americans could be. This was typified in discussions about the Michael Jackson jury who my relative was convinced would come back with a quick verdict because "they just want to go home" and, when that proved untrue were only delaying the announcement of their verdict to increase the "excitement" making the book they were conspiring to write that much more of a best seller.

This was not much different than Passover dinner with the cousins I adore. When the conversation turned to the Sudan and why America sent troops to liberate Iraq but not protect the Sudanese the assumption -- beyond question -- was that evil, horrible America wouldn't help the blacks of Africa but would do anything to steal the oil from the Arab world.

Of no interest to my leftist loved ones was the reality that the Sudanese, as horrible as their crimes are, never invaded their neighbors, never bombed other countries and wasn't a linchpin in the world of international terror. It was simply a given that whatever the worst they could think about America simply must be true.

Similarly, it was beyond my New York relatives that perhaps the jurors would take seriously their charge as arbiters of the fate of another and thoughtfully deliberate the laws and the evidence. Every wrong that could be attributed to the American judicial system was simply accepted as "the truth."

This same relative in New York, when asked why America hasn't been attacked since the day we started fighting against the terrorists insisted that "it just hasn’t happened." No credit would ever be given to the efforts of our fighting forces and our Commander-in-Chief.

These aren't the Dick Durbins, desperately seeking to cling to personal power and wealth by viciously slandering America. These are good and decent people with no financial interest in attacking the United States. And yet it is the mindset of so many Americans -- Democrats all -- to mindlessly, thoughtlessly, stupidly attributed all evils to America at every time on every issue.

It's a sickness and a sadness and it bodes ill for the future of the country and thus the world.

It's New York.
I believe "the future" is in fine hands with the remaining 48 states (not including California here).

But, they are the type who put him in office.

The political "liberal" suffers from congenital nihilistic perception, inverted ideation and unresolved pubescent angst.

You have to remember, when democrats are out of power, they no longer consider this "their country" and hence, critizing the U.S. to them, might as well be like us criticizing France. The American liberal is so in denial that the voters didn't want them in power that their visceral reaction is that the people are stupid and/or the nation is evil. I know people like this. They have serious psychological "issues." They even have websites for people who share this neurosis. One of them is called dumocratunderground.com, or some such thing.

It just reemphasizes Michael Savage's claim that "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder". True. Amazing. No rational thought, it's beyond comprehension. I can't comprehend it, what to do, what to do?

In other words, they're European.

Being anti-American is the key point that unites leftists everywhere, whether they are in the US or abroad.

I think all the lib Rats need to run not walk to their nearest shrink. They all, every single last one of them suffer from the same disease. Masochism! They continually insist on beating up America and everything we stand for day after day. Every last bloody thing is OUR FAULT.All the solders torture innocent people. We are the bad guys, everyone else is good. I used to listen and keep my mouth shut cause I'm not the confrontational type. But ever since 911 I CANT! The last straw now is, some libs are planning to put up a huge site in whats supposed to be a memorial for the 911 victims. They are planning to say 911 was all out fault because of slavery, Jim Crow, treatment of Indians etc. Over my dead body!

Well, yeah, but I honestly believe that these liberals are projecting as well. What they attribute to America, the selfish Great Satan, are their own morals, ethics and limits. They think America doesn't care about blacks in the Sudan because, deep in their hearts, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT BLACKS, and so on for the rest of the whining complaints about this, greatest of all, nation.

It boggles my mind that every New Yorker didn't go out & register to be a Republican on 9/12/01, after watching the slaughter of their citizens & destruction of their city.

***For "liberals" it's all about "causes" - abstracted from true humanitarian concern for their ego-gratification. Their "projecting" is the big self-exposure - especially when they called their opposition "nazis" and "fascists."
Who can doubt that "liberals" are petty tyrants?

You and me both.  I just don't get it ... I wasn't very political before that day and it changed me forever.

You've nailed it cold, purple! This is exactly what they do. The Clintons have this technique down to a science. When Killery came out with her "vast, right wing conspiracy......" in that infamous interview with Matt Lauer on the TODAY Show in Jan. of 1998, she was also projecting. She and Billary are masters of conspiracies. They no doubt hauled away tons of material from classified sources, to use against future political "obstacles."

These people on the left are all "projectionists." They ARE the new Nazis! What would you call all of the leftist demagogues on our campuses........all of the "little Ward Churchills?" - Fascists and Nazis is who and what they are. So naturally, to deflect the truth away from themselves, they absolutely MUST turn the accusation onto us conservatives. It's their never-ending game of smoke and mirrors....and creating illusions.

Thanks for your comments, purple!

Char :)
