I have put that in my favorite places so I can go and read it a little at a time because after I read just a little, my bp starts rising. I'm also sending a link to all my e-mail buddies,ok?
The pics are daunting and chilling...the accounts by eye witnesses in the right hand pull down will also chill you to the bone...but inspire as well.
Don't worry...I won't ever forget.
It's been almost four years, and I am just as angry, if not more so, as when I woke up that quiet Tuesday morning. Quiet, because I lived in El Segundo, next to LAX, an airport where no airplanes were flying.
Shock. Sadness. Rage. Trying to console people at the post office, that I didn't even know. Crying even now, as I post this, and remember.
And then some PIECE OF S**T COMMUNIST SYMPATHIZING RAT-FACED PUKE IS GOING TO STAND ON THE FLOOR OF THE UNITED STATES SENATE AND EQUATE US TO NAZIS, POL POT, AND STALIN? WHY NOT INCLUDE SADAAM HUSSEIN AND OSAMA BIN LADEN, YOU TERRORIST APPEASING FUTHAMUCHER? BECAUSE YOU'RE ON THEIR SIDE!!!!!!
Hell no, I'm not going to forget. Never. Ever. Message to President Bush, Vice President Cheney, Secretary Rumsfeld, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Secretary Rice, and whoever else needs to hear it, along with those who are fighting and serving the greatest country that exists on this planet--here is my message.
GET SOME.
I'm a New Yorker and have, never, ever seen that photo of the twn towers standing tall above a cloud layer.
All I can say is, "WOW!"
Makes me think that The Donald has/had it right - rebuild them and make them TWO stories taller than they were.
May none of us ever forget and may the 9-11 Commission get it right, and get rid of the PC crap that is invading them and make it a TRUE, honest memorial to all who died that day, wherever they were - in NY, PA or DC.
But they are VERY quick to mention Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, or any other presumably egregious error on the part of anyone serving under a Republican administration.
I posted a rant upthread (downthread from your message). I don't recall what number it was. I think you can click on my screen name and find it. I've been ticked off all week about this Turbin guy, to put it mildly. Ticked even more, because I know it's not just him that feels this way.
I'd like to see the towers rebuilt to 111 floors.
And if they can't get anyone to want o occupy several of the top floors, make them a prison for terrorists, including some from Gitmo and leave Gitmo open too.

Compare this with the liberal creeps today.
The sight of the nation pulling together as unified, determined Americans after 9/11 sent chills up the spines of both the media and the socialist-agenda faction (although I might be being redundant there). The prospect of Patriotic Americans fighting for their country under the leadership of a strong, conservative President was just more than these '60s survivors could bear.
For those who are unaware of how to find FR bookmarks on a profile page:
Click on the poster's name.
Near the top left of the profile page that appears, click on Links.
I have about a million bookmarks but most of the relevant ones are preceded by WTC and thus can be found by scrolling way down on the list. Thankfully, I figured out that little trick quickly to make the threads easier to find.
I hear people saying we don't need this war
I say there's some things worth fighting for
What about our freedom and this piece of ground?
We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down
They say we don't realize the mess we're getting in
Before you start preaching
Let me ask you this my friend
Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away?
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
They took all the footage off my T.V.
Said it's too disturbing for you and me
It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it every day
Some say this country's just out looking for a fight
After 9/11 man I'd have to say that's right
Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away?
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell
And we vowed to get the ones behind Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
I've been there with the soldiers
Who've gone away to war
And you can bet that they remember
Just what they're fighting for
Have you forgotten all the people killed?
Yes, some went down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field
Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?
All the loved ones that we lost
And those left to carry on
Don't you tell me not to worry 'bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?

...and they have been fighting it tooth and nail to this day, playing the part of an enemy fifth column IMHO.
bookmk ping and thanks
I for one will never forget what they did that day, nor will I forget what deadly political quasi-religious ideology drove their murderous actions.
I also won't forget the heroism of 'regular' Americans on 9-11-2001, and thereafter.
Thanks for the thread. Can't have enough reminders.
