Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) (C) gestures at the podium during a news conference on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., June 16, 2005, regarding legislation calling upon the Bush Administration to produce a plan to withdraw troops from Iraq. What Soros? No Soros here, just this dumbell Kucinich!
Wanna buy a ladder?
Probaly..
Ron Paul has been completely consistent. You probably weren't aware of that when you supported him. He is an American hero.
Your American hero, not mine. Ron Paul is just proof that there are wing nuts on both the left and right.
He's nothing if not consistant, you do have to admire that. He is my represenative and I write him often, he always replys but is never swayed.

He may not be your hero but he has proved a pretty good prophet. Paul's predictions about that this would turn into a longterm quagmire and would detract from American national defense have proved accurate. By contrast, pro-war freepers were making cavalier quagmire jokes back in 2003 and predicting that Iraqi construction would "pay for itself" (all that oil). I haven't heard too many of those quagmire jokes lately, have you?
Interestingly, despite his libertarian views (he even voted against the Houston space center which provides job in his district!), I hear that he is an expert at constituent service. They say that if Paul is on the job a delayed V.A. or Social Security check will quickly arrive. Perhaps that is why he keeps winning.
Strawman? In what way? I voiced the opinion that he was a better prophet than his critics and gave a specific example. You, by contrast, made a declarative statement without any evidence.
That's right, if a war isn't won instantaneously it becomes a quagmire. Conflicts have to be resolved in days or weeks to satisfy a population suffering from mass A.D.D. The war on terror (of which Iraq is only a piece) would be closer to conclusion if we showed a united front and stopped whining about everything. Ron Paul is no better than Dick Durbin. They both give aid and comfort to our enemies.
Huh AWW, here you are calling ron paul a prophet(religious reference). I guess his appeasment towards the terrorists is "divine" to you, even thought the islamofascists want to kill you.
Whew, didn't know Libertarians hit the bong so early in the morning, but I'm not surprised.
We're still in a quagmire in Germany, dontcha know?
That's a real brain trust you have there, Ron -- Dennis the Menace and David Crosby!
Consistent in what, putting a deadline on the war? Giving all the terrorists a heads up on when we'll be leaving?
I've known he was against the war, which is certainly his perogative. However, I expect loyalty to our President and our troops when we are at war. By siding with the looney left in announcing this idiotic suggestion, he is only hurting our country and helping our enemies, and I resent the hell out of it.....
So are we supposed to stay in that Moo craphole forever, getting picked off day by day? If we were serious, we'd be levelling any town that looked at us sideways and make them piss their pants every time they heard an aircraft overhead.
Spot on !
