Chicago White Sox designated hitter Carl Everett criticized gays, fans, Wrigley Field and other targets during an interview for the July edition of Maxim magazine, the Chicago Tribune said.
About homosexuals, Everett said "Gays? Being gay is wrong. Two women can't produce a baby, two men can't produce a baby, so it's not how it's supposed to be. ... I don't believe in gay marriages. I don't believe in being gay."
Everett has been one of baseball's more controversial players, most notoriously known for his confrontation with umpire Ron Kulpa in 2000 while playing for the Boston Red Sox.
The White Sox DH also ripped on baseball fans, saying that "Fan is short for fanatic he's crazy about something he really doesn't know about. And it's proven that 99 percent of baseball fans have no idea what they're watching."
I don't think the Democrats realize how risky it is for their party to play the Gitmo card. Their party is already considered "soft" on crime. Now they're giving themselves the reputation of also being soft on terrorism.
Fortunately for Everett, he's black and that will allow him to escape the same condemnation that Rocker received.
That's my take also.
That's my take also.
Then they'll "Tyson-ize" him. They both have said a few things that make you wonder what planet they come from.
You don't think a White Sox is not watching out for the Twins? They are five games back and I am very worried still. So far this year we are handling them though and we clearly have much better pitching than anyone in the league but that may not be enough to keep us out front.
With luck, my Twins will take care of that pretty soon.
Lets hope not. :D
Let's agree to disagree. :) LOL
alright. :D
Soft on terrorism? Quite the contrary. The Democrats seem to have a virtual hard-on for terrorism.
