Columbia is one of ther most beautiful countries on earth. And it has some of the most educated, kind, generous and beautiful people.
The 'rathole' comment was directed to the political/military/narco-terrorist situation which is destroying this culture.
I know Columbia having worked extensively there during the late 79's thru the early 90's. I watched and experienced its descent into a situation of despair.
No argument about its beauty and potential.
