School Refuses To Allow Parent To See Explicit Sex-Ed Material
American Family Association Online ^ | 6/14/05 | Donald E. Wildmon

Should parents approve sex-ed material? Take our poll. Parents in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, are upset because the local school administered an explicit sex survey to sixth-graders. The survey solicits answers to such questions as "How old were you when you had sexual intercourse for the first time?" and "The last time you had sexual intercourse, did you or your partner use a condom?"

The school committee would not allow parents to view copies of the survey because they felt parents would "misinterpret" the questions. Parent David Fisher said, "In the 6th grade – these are children 11 or 12 years old – they are being asked if they have ever engaged in oral sex, when was the first time that they engaged in oral sex, with how many different people have they engaged in oral sex? And they use the same questions about sexual intercourse, and whether or not they've used a condom."

A similar sex survey being administered to eighth-graders asks students to identify themselves as heterosexual, gay or lesbian, or bisexual.

Should this kind of material be taught in public schools without the permission of parents?

Click here to take our poll

The results of this poll will be available for parents to present to their local school administrators who are, or may be, considering sex-ed classes in their school.

Incidentally, you might want to see what kind of sex-ed material your children are being taught in their school.

Note to parents:pull kid out of school.

If half the school did it they would be BEGGING you to come back, and design the program with them. No kids in school=no federal schoomla to spend..

Who originated this test, and what was it's purpose?

"Who originated this test, and what was it's purpose?"

I understand it was a purloined copy of the Jackson jury selection questionnaire.

I had a similar quiz in 9th grade. I was really uncomfortable with it and couldn't comprehend what it had to do with school.

A similar sex survey being administered to eighth-graders asks students to identify themselves as heterosexual, gay or lesbian, or bisexual.

If an employer asked that question of a employee candidate they could be brought up on labor charges.

I think that medical caregivers are not even allowed to ask such a question when their own personal safety is at risk.

It's about a educrat perverts grooming and cultivating children to accept promiscuous homosexual behavior as normal.

Perverts used to have to hang around public toilets. Now, they run our schools.

When I was in Jr. High (now called middle school) a female teacher herded all the girls into the auditorium and made us answer a poll asking if we were still virgins (to be turned in anonymously).

I circulated a note asking everyone to say NO on the form. Most did and she got her answer ... 97% were not vigins.

Later she found out abour my not and I got in trouble. But it was worth it. I told her it was none of her business.

Too bad kids aren't more agressive with these beastly prying school administrators.

I can imagine - I'd be uncomfortable too, I can't even imagine being asked to answer those questions in sixth grade!

The thing I find offensive about these questions is that they assume 6th graders are sexually active, and their casual offhandedness exerts a subtle pressure for students to BECOME sexually active.

Elegantly succinct statement.

Well, it's nice of them to want to protect the parents from a potential "misinterpretation". Wouldn't want that now would we? Parents have a hard time reading between the lines of questions like, "How old were you when you had sexual intercourse for the first time?" and "The last time you had sexual intercourse, did you or your partner use a condom?"

I think you're right - surely this is one of the Biblical signs of the Apocalypse.

As a matter of fact, a pervert would love to know which students were sexually active, the better to prey upon them. This survey would be just what they would like to have.

Geeze, I wish I had a dollar for everytime I've read about a horrifying sexual survey given to youngsters in Massachusetts. I'd be a rich woman.

Do they put valium in the water there? Are the parents all asleep at the wheel, or what? Hellooooo, earth to parents in Mass: Perverts are in charge of most of your school districts. You need to wake up, pack up and move!
