Hitlers in headscarves

Imagine it's 1939.

Hitler is on the move.

As always, the world wants desperately to avoid war.

Here are the terms Hitler puts on the table: We will stop our drive for new territory only when all the Jews are out of Poland, Austria and Czechoslovakia.

Would the civilized world accept such a demand?

I doubt it. Even if it meant avoiding war, I doubt very much if the United States and Great Britain would say it was a good deal. I doubt very much they would conclude Hitler was making a reasonable offer. And I doubt very much whether we would offer to fund the forcible transfer of those Jews.

Yet that is exactly what we are agreeing to do on a smaller scale in Gaza and part of the West Bank this summer.

The United States is not only accepting the demands of Hitlers in headscarves who hate Jews and will not accept them living in peace as their neighbors, the United States is funding the removal of those Jews as a way to achieve peace.

But guess what?

The anti-Jewish hate-mongers of the Palestinian Authority just upped the ante.

Even though they previously agreed to disarm the terrorists among them as a show of good faith to the Israelis, they have reneged on the deal.

Now they say – and listen carefully to this – that they will not disarm the terrorists until all Jews are out of Gaza, Judea and Samaria.

Since they know that will happen when hell freezes over, it's a safe bet they don't ever plan to honor this most basic requirement of the peace process.

But, again, that's no surprise. For 40 years, the Palestinian Authority and its predecessor, the Palestine Liberation Organization, have lied and broken promises. It's their nature. Few expect anything else from them. Yet what most of the world misses is the consistently, viciously anti-Jewish nature of their demands.

What do they want? They want all the Jews out. Yesterday the demand was Gaza. Today the demand is Judea and Samaria. Tomorrow, of course, the demand will be the entire Middle East.

That has always been the ultimate goal. It remains the ultimate goal.

Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Nasser al-Kidwa declared on PA television, "The dismantling of armed organizations is not on the table because weapons are legal as long as the occupation exists. Possession of weapons is a strategic issue as long as there is occupation."

What the Palestinian Authority means by "occupation" is any living, breathing Jew on Middle East soil.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is in the Middle East today – presumably twisting Israeli arms again to cut up their nation and hand over pieces of it to these Hitlers in headscarves. She and the Bush administration now want Israel to return to 1949 armistice lines – I call them "Auschwitz borders" – to placate the Jew haters.

How would she have answered Hitler's hypothetical demands in 1939? Would she have capitulated to the anti-Jewish hatred of the Nazis? If not, why are she and the Bush administration demanding the survivors of Hitler's Holocaust ready themselves for another one? Why is the United States funding this kind of sick, perverted, twisted, demonic, psychotic Jew hatred by the Arabs and Muslims of the Middle East?

You can't bargain with it. You can't reason with it. You can't buy it off.

The only thing you can do with it that kind of hatred is defeat it.

That's what we are doing in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That's what we did to Hitler.

Why do we expect appeasement to work anywhere else? Why do we expect it to work with the Hitlers in headscarves of the Palestinian Authority?

Not Hitlerian, underhanded. Left-handed, even!

Hitler's name gets thrown around way too much, but I think it's appropriate to call the Islamists little Hitlers.

Of course it would. The Left would champion Hitler's "cause". The "Mainstream Newsmedia" would barrage the public with pro-appeasement propaganda and mindless platitudes. Academia would blather on about the rectitude of Hitler's cause. Hollywood would pack pro-Hitler propaganda into its movies. Celebrities would travel to Germany to show solidarity with the oppressed Nazis. Leftist Jews would explain endlessly that there are two sides to every argument. Democrat politicians would campaign for "Peace in Our Time." We'd have Leftist demonstrations for "Peace" and acquiescence. Bumper stickers would urge "Give Peace a Chance".

Nothing has changed.

This particular analogy is not reckless, nor inappropriate, in the slightest. The Islamists would do the exact same thing if they had the capability.

haha, i guess i really didn't know what i was asking for then. the introduction (even the harmonics of the title) genuinely surprised me though, beacuse one could ostensibly use hitler in name across a wide range of evils, to 'prime' the reader for one's actual column topic. this does little service to history, but it's his website, his column, his call ultimately.

You can't bargain with it. You can't reason with it. You can't buy it off.

It is as I have always said when dealing with an unplacable enemy such as the Islamonazi.

Given the affinity of many Arabs in the region for the Reich, the popularity of Mein Kampf in the Arab world, and their shared solution for the Jewish Problem, it's probably appropriate in this case, not reckless.
