No, he wasn't charged with that, but he should have been. That's a crime, I believe. BTW, weren't there young boys' fingerprints on said porn?
To: Madeleine Ward
I agree with you entirely. Think I'll get some flak for this statement - trashing the jury verdict and ignoring the accuser's shady past cannot be substitutes for reason and logic in this decision.

my heart is troubled. I have sons and if anyone ever did what M.J. did to kids I would personally pull his ying yang off his freaking body. I am sick by this verdict. It is typical celeb star stuck bought off creeps. I am sick of these people making money off of us and they are always ABOVE THE LAW!

Go pick your fights somewhere else, today. I'm not interested.
12 independent people sat through hours upon hours of evidence. They unanimously concluded that he wasn't guilty. What do you think was their motivation? What do you know about this case that they don't?
To: ecurbh
Wow, not guilty on all counts? Yeah - I wasn't ready to predict anything, including that.

>>>>>The damage this has done to his reputation, career, and financial wellbeing are incalculable. And I'm inclined to believe 12 independent jurors when they acquit on charges like this.
I have less faith in the jury system than you, but have even less faith in the government. Prosecutors successfully wage vendettas all the time; they get away with it because 99% of Americans lack the resources to fight the government.

I'm offended that the DA put together a garbage case...it has nothing to do with skin color. The statement was completely disgusting and you know it.
I also believe that he was guilty...but I refuse to ascrivbe race to it. It was the prosecution's job to prove their case...they didn't.
To: HairOfTheDog
Since when can't I say what I think? He got off, just like O.J. did.

I wonder if there are any wackos out there planning any vigilante justice?

12 independent jurors just decided, unanimously, that there was not enough evidence to convict. i agree... i even saw prosecuting attorneys on tv shows this past week saying they didn't think the prosecution had a strong case... none of them said he would be convicted...

I agree with both of you. It was a weak case and the accusers were not credible. They were obviously out to make a buck and probably will still hit him up in a civil suit. He's a creepy guy, but that he did what he was accused of doing in this case was not proven to me and it obviously wasn't proven to the jury. That's how I feel.....

You can't convict on 'he's probably done this sometime'.EXACTLY. It seems most here would rather us throw out our constitution and all our founders work for achieving a free society. Screw the constitution and the law, MJ had to have molested SOMEONE, so just convict him of whatever the prosecution throws out.

I'm surprised the porn from his house was even admitted into evidence. No one could ID it as the porn the accuser said he'd been exposed to. It's not relevant.

I don't fault the DA. There was enough evidence to charge the case and bring it to trial. Sometimes you just gotta do what's right, and that DA will be able to sleep at night. I don't fault him either- he did the best he could but the victim and his mother were fatal to this case.
