1969: Billings Mt tied its record low for June (32 Deg. F.).
1977: a tropical cyclone hit the island of Masirah (sultanate of Oman) with winds of at least 104 MPH. Rainfall totalled 16.95" in a 24 hour period. 2% of Masirah's buildings survived the ordeal.
1984: NW suburbs of Denver, CO were battered by hail. Depths of 8" on level were observed as were windblown drifts of 5'. Some areas were beaned by golf-ball and baseball sized stones for 40 minutes. Amazingly, damage was limited to merely in excess of $300 million. Snowplows called out to clear the streets got stuck.
1991: 6 spectators at the U.S. Open Golf Tournament at the Hazeltine Golf Course at Chaska, MN didn't know that refuge under trees is not to be sought from approaching storms. One person died and 5 were injured from a lightning strike.
1996: Thunderstorms produced 5-8" rain on Leverett and Montague, MA in 4 hours. 30 miles of roads were ruined (all but one leading into Leverett were destroyed). Flash flooding destroyed a 200' bridge in Leverett, leaving a 50' deep canyon.

Today was neither hot nor cold, dry nor wet, cloudy nor sunny. It was one of those nondescript days in paradise.

You think this is bad weather? Wait until Global warming kicks in, were going to see sub-zero temperatures everywhere, everyday!
(For more information on how that can happen, consult with a liberal near you)

Oddly enough, in 1972 the eastern half of the US had record cold on June 11-in Akron we dipped to 32 degrees! Columbus and Cleveland were at 31 that night.
