Beats the sh** out of me - and I live here.
Politically, I expect the answer lies somewhere in the same area as "Why do you guys allow 50 million illegal Mexicans into the USA?"
Mind you, I was rather tickled by the Muslim claim that they account for around a third of the Scouts' UK membership.
I wonder, prophet that he was, whether Mohammed foresaw Baden-Powell's penning of the Scout handbook, "Scouting For Boys"????
There, I fixed it. I'm sure this is what they meant to say.

Very few in the US are actually in favor allowing illegal aliens into our country.
However, the main problem with that arguement (which a lot of Europeans make) is this:
Mexicans do not come into the United States with a religious tradition which advocates the destruction of America and the barbaric murder of all of our citizens.
Scouting is dying in England, and this is one reason why.
The article says Muslims account for a third of Scouts wordlwide. It claims only 1% of Britihs Scouts are Muslim.
I think what this article really reflects is that Scouting, like a lot of other traditional boys groups, is rapidly dying out in the UK and they're getting desperate enough for members that they're having to start making overtures towards minority communities in order to boost recruitment.
Scouting is dying in England, and this is one reason why.

Good point, and one which needs to be made over and over. Although Baden-Powell must be rolling over in his grave, the article at least presented views from both sides, rather than entirely gush forth a bunch of multicultural crap.

At the very least, (Thanks be to the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit!) the dogma of radical inclusivism which taught that God contains all gods and all gods are the same. Such "logic" fails once the devotees of one of these gods refuse to participate and their refusal is legitimized by recognizing, permitting, and endorsing their refusal.
What a judgment on Christendom that Christians were not willing or able to have such fortitude and stand firm for the uniqueness of Him who is the Way, the Truth,and the Life!
Think of the new merit badges they'll have to add:
Suicide Belt-weaving
HonorKilling Arts
Jihadology
Jihad Lore
Mysogyny Study
CarBomb Repairs
etc.
I killed an infidel badge.
I married my first cousin when I was six badge.
I found a tree which told me where to look for the infidel badge.
I burned a bible badge.
I am sure others can come up with much better ones than these.
