Well a three strikes and your out law might work. May the HR people will feel the heat if they become LEGALLY responsible for hiring illegal aliens. And since small business owners are the HR person, this could be effective. Is hiring some cheap illegal labor worth you livlihood and your freedom.

I see the company that hired the colorado cop killer has decided to start checking to see if their employees are legal. Personally I want to know how much money they are giving to the victims family. I wouldn't mind seeing some prison time for the executive who decided to allow the hiring of illegal aliens.

The most effective way to jump start this would be for the victims of the illegals crimes to sue the companies. Just as Bar owners are responsible if the send a customer out plastered and they have an accident. I'm not a lawyer, but seems there may be some way to make this work. That would end this practice REALLY fast.

Enforce the law!

No shiny new laws which business and government can simply ignore when it suits them!

Fool me once shame on you, government and business! Fool me twice. . . .

And tell the corrupt government of Mexico to stay the hell out of our internal affairs! Stop meddling, you corrupt bastards! While Mexican citizens are here we make and enforce the laws. Screw Mexico's "nation beyond borders" and Fox's National Council for Mexican Communities Abroad. Screw their Mexican diaspora.

Why not put the executives in jail for a month and then make them pay the fines. They would get to know the illegals 'up close and personal' then.

amnesty

n 1: a period during which offenders are exempt from punishment 2: a warrant granting release from punishment for an offense [syn: pardon] 3: the formal act of liberating someone [syn: pardon, free pardon] v : grant a pardon to (a group of people)

Ill ask again. How does the word amnesty apply to the mckennedy bill and not the Kyl/Cornyn bill?

I don't know what they're trumpeting this for. It was Kennedy and his '65 immigration bill that created this problem in the first place!

We don't want to put companies out of business for a first offence but they need to feel the pinch.

Corporations look on fines as just another cost of doing business. Start putting some CEO's and other executives in a local JAIL, even if only for 30 days. Bet that would clean up the act.

I agree. These fines are mere pittance and not effective.

And the Kyl/Corwyn bill now being touted is yet ANOTHER amnesty. Same pig with different lipstick.

There is a broader picture that is being ignored.  We need to understand the history of 500 years of tyranny in Mexico, and look into the future.

Here's some of what we are grappling with.

  1. Mexico electing a President of another political party has shown conclusively that it cannot end the corruption upholding the tyranny.
  2. Most of the illegal immigrants are seeking a better way of life, and would prefer it be available in their own country where their families are.
  3. We cannot build a border wall long enough, or high enough to secure our country.
  4. All our military forces stationed along the border won't make us more secure, but more vulnerable.
  5. The two points in the country that we are most likely to suffer a terrorist attack with a nuclear or biological weapon are in the areas of San Diego, California and El Paso, Texas because of the proximity to Tijuana and Juarez, Mexico.  Keep in mind we've major military installations in these regions.
  6. Sending all the illegal immigrants home will only add to the numbers of a desperate Mexican population likely to conspire against us.
  7. No amount of money we pour into Mexico will end the corruption and tyranny, but strengthen it.
  8. Anyone that believes corrupt Mexican citizens in Mexico would never subject their fellow citizens to death in a plot with terrorists is fooling themselves.
  9. We need major policy changes in Washington, D.C. that look well beyond immigration to securing our nation, and ending the corruption that makes us so vulnerable.
  10. American citizens of Mexican decent have shown they support our way of life that is made possible by our Constitution.

Now, what solutions do you see?  Do we wait while the clock ticks?  Do we remain in a slumber like in the days that led up to 9-11?  What change can be made that will truly secure our nation from a terrorist attack along our southern border?  Do we leave hard choices for future generations?  Can we ever be safe within our own country as long as the tyranny and corruption in Mexico continues?

I haven't heard his remarks yet, but seeing this as only an immigration issue, in fact, presenting the problem as only an immigration issue lulls our population into a false sense of security.  People need to wake up and realize such a corrupt government cannot be trusted to secure our southern regions.

"Now, what solutions do you see? "

The ideal solution to Muslim terrorism is for the Muslims to reinterpret their religion as to proscribe terrorism.

Next are the things we are doing:
Ending state support of international terrorism, hunting down and killing their leaders, cutting off their funds, promoting democracy, better human intelligence, cooperation of foreign governments, securing airplanes, searching ships, protecting municipal water supplies, protecting nuclear sites, protecting dams, bridges, schools, malls and office buildings; keeping surveillance on Muslims in the U.S. who might provide support and intelligence to terrorists, increasing our technological surveillance for nuclear material entering the country, developing closer cooperation with Mexico and Canada to keep terrorist from entering their countries or being assisted therein by corrupt officials, infiltrating Mexican and Canadian criminal organizations that might assist terrorists, modernization of Coast Guard and CBP vessels, and keeping the American citizens on alert for suspicious behavior.

...they refuse to see the forest from the proverbial trees. And the knee-jerk response will not occur until there is another 9/11...At which point, Americans will be totally fed up with the incompetency of D.C. and every Muslim in America will then have to pack up and go back to whatever hellhole they originated from.

Do you think we need another 9/11 in order to wake people up?

Evidently, because Americans have given GWB and rest of the clowns in D.C. a "pass" on their failure to secure the borders, deport the illegals and fine employers who hire them.

We secure the borders in Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq but we leave our own front and back doors WIDE OPEN? you figure it out? and I thought we were at war!
