Constitution Party Supports Border Integrity and the Minuteman Project
Constitution Party of Ohio ^

Posted on 06/07/2005 10:28:37 PM PDT by TERMINATTOR

The following resolution was passed by the delegates to the Constitution Party National Committee meeting held in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 28-30.

WHEREAS, the Constitution Party supports a return to sound immigration policy for the benefit of our nation, and all reasonable efforts to assist our already overburdened US Border Patrol are eagerly welcomed, we applaud the efforts of the leaders and workers within the "Minuteman Project" for their work in helping to secure the southern border of the United States.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we express our appreciation of and support for their diligence in working with the local and state authorities, and the US Border Patrol, that are endeavoring to restore integrity to our Nation's southern border.

Why don't they just call themselves "The Good Party"?

"Constitution" has obvious implications, none of which necessarily hold true. If anything, it's more likely to scream 'irony' the first moment they lose focus.

Actually, if you go to their site you will find that they've been Anti-Illegal Immigration since their founding. THat's why they got my vote last time. Their goals are also closest to the original Republican Platform. They're pro-America, Anti-Free Trade and Globalism as well. They're good people.

"they are... anti-free trade"

How is this a good thing? Obviously they do not have a lot of economic geniuses in the CP.

You ever notice how these guys are all about self-reliance and personal responsibility on every issue except drug abuse?

When they call for an end to the War on Citizens Drugs they'll get my dollars and votes.

It seems like the only people who are against sealing the borders are those who took an oath to protect us from a foreign invasion - the dumbass politicians!

Well, as long as in Ohio they don't run for more than city council, that would be fine.
If they run a candidate for President in 2008, governor and all that, that would be ridiculous.

All that would be doing is drawing conservative votes to allow the Democrats a chance to win over a Republican.

A protest or wasted vote with that party is a vote for Democrats.

The "free trade" system set up by the WTO forms a socialist trading system that takes the competitive advantage from "rich" countries and gives it to "poor" countries. It has more to do with a global reorganization of our governmental systems centralizing power in a few global institutions than it does have anything to do with "free" or "trade".

Economic geniuses have seen that the "free trade" system is more in the line with Marxist central control of commerce.

Although I am reluctant to vote for any third party candidate, it is reassuring to know that there definitely will be a pro-life, pro-2nd-Amendment, pro-border-security and pro-national-sovereignty candidate on the ballot.

Hopefully, there will be more than one such candidate on the ballot.

1) I am not a "newbie." Is this a new account, yes.

2) You can assume whatever it is you want. But at the end of the day the "Constituion Party" is a joke. Much like the Libertarians, they go out of their way to "prove" they do not have many of the same qualities as strong and actual Conservative Republicans, that they begin to adopt unbecoming positions of a platform.

Which would be very nice if they did not run candidates like the Quisling Dhimmi, Mark Dankof.

Yeah! And we all know what that could cause: out of control spending, campaign finance bills that trash the First Amendment, judges that ignore the inalienable right to life, a president meeting with terrorists and calling Islam a 'religion of peace', the ruling party endorsing and financing liberals over conservatives, a Senate run by leftists, a LOST treaty which subverts national sovereignty, sets up a taxing authority for the UN for the first time, and gives UN bureaucrats control over seventy percent of the Earth's surface, open borders...

What??? We're getting every single one of those things now with a GOP led governement?

Nevermind!

Well, there are generally a dozen or so candidates on any given Presidential and even Governor ballot. Unless there is a candidate with some broad appeal, the effect is generally inconsequential. (Note that it is rarely the '3rd party' that generates appeal but the candidate).
