Abercrombie and Fitch and its subsidiary Hollister have shown an unusual degree of anatagonism to the name of Christ and an unusual display of wickedness in their promotions.
In protest, we will not allow articles of clothing displaying their logos to we worn, carried or displayed. (even if covered or masked in some way)

Why pay rent when you can own the shopping mall?
Jesus works for me...and he's about 5'6" tall with dark short hair. He's married to Maria and has 2 kids, Jesus and Octavio. So knock it off. I know him personally.
The government also apparently thinks that A&F is wicked. Not long ago, A&F reached an out-of-court settlement in a racial discrimination case. Among other things, A&F's ads were considered "too white," i.e., they didn't have enough minorities in them. That's ironic, considering this recent development with Bob Jones University.
I am travelling for work, dont have an onine bible on the work laptop, but in 1Cor, Paul makes it clear long hair on a man is wrong
That means since Paul would not contradict Jesus, Jesus didnt have long hair
The verse is something like, "Doesnt nature itself teach you long hair on a man is shameful?"
Pray for W and Our Troops
I haven't shopped there
in many years, but they were
the very finest
store I've ever shopped.
(I have always assumed that
their catalogue stunts
were tongue-in-cheek jokes.)
Heck, I still have a fly rod
and reel I bought there.
Stores that sell first rate
fly rods and reels are not spawn
of Satan's minions!
I do a recall a minor scandal back then when the Sears Catalog allegedly showed a little too much skin. Although I understand your concerns about A & F, the photos are not "porn" by just about any standard, because if nakedness equates to porn, then our Nation's art museums equate to adult book stores.
I think anthropologists and historians agree that most Jewish men of Jesus' era had relatively short hair. Whether any PARTICULAR man (such as Jesus) had short hair is conjecture, unless there are specific historical references to support the opinion.
Pretty flimsy reasoning, especially since Paul did indeed have long hair for a time as a vow (Acts 18:18), which proves that long hair itself is not a sin. Also, the Bible never clearly states just how long hair has to be before it is called "long".
A&F was a store that catered to very old money founded in 1904. After they filed chapter 11 in the 70's they were bought by Oshman's Sporting Goods. Around 1989 they were sold to the Limited. A&F is currently a public company which was spun off by the Limited.
It's definitely NOT the same company that Oshman's operated when I worked there.
The burka has nothing to do with "suicide bombers." Islamic women wear the burkas either voluntarily or to comply with the law because that is the dress code set by the nut jobs who set the rules for that particular cult. I bet, however, that if you cut through the crap, the BJU people and the Islamic nut jobs have a lot in common when it comes to female dress.

In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God. Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practicenor do the churches of God.
[1 Corinthians 11-16]

Yes, Paul is clear, but,
in other places Paul warns
that we shouldn't fight
over how people
interpret what's right with God.
In today's world,
I don't think hair length
would be a sign of sin. But,
since Paul believed this,
back in his world,
Jesus very probably
was a short haired guy . . .
Loved it!
Not really. You can see their dress code here:
Going back to the Danica Patrick threads last week, and now this, there are apparently some Freepers who think that anyone who objects to ANY of the hyper-sexualization of advertizing and modern fashion is no different than the Taliban.
The original A&F was one of the gentleman sporting goods stores. There were several of them in NYC, i.e. Hunting World. The Limited simply bought the name, which had vague brand recognition and transformed it.
What is the purpose of the dress code?
