The two suspects arrested in connection with the disappearance have just been charged with murder, homicide and kidnapping leading to homicide.
Last year my brother spent 6 weeks in Costa Rica, and he said Americans are loved there. I'm so sick of the illegal invasion, just the thought of traveling south turns me off cold. I would like to go back to Banff, Canada and spend a couple of weeks in that area again, but since 9-11 I'm not a big fan of flying either, so I'm going to vacation in the U.S.
first of all I want to see the real culprits here brought to justice, I'm no bleeding heart liberal, but we ain't got all the facts in, so I'm going to forgo blustering and speculating for the moment......
I'm going to wait to see what the cops do and say, I'd like the cops to state officially the part about the three men said they had sex with her, the more I look at it, they all say "investigators" say - who are "investigators", that's not much better than "anonymous sources in the Pentagon" far as I am concerned, when it comes out of the prosecutor or police chief's mouth, then we got something more solid.....
I was just reading another recent report and they said a "tip" lead to the arrest of the security guards and they are searching the Allegro resort today, (WABC News) as well as the Eastern part of the Island where the security guards lived.........
one parting shot
we all thought that Runaway Bride bimbo was sitting dead somewhere, boy did that turn out differently......
I use this only as an example that sometimes the truth is far away from the initial speculation, and that is why you need calm logic and thorough investigation techniques to sift through the garbage......
I recently saw a tv show about the building of the hotel at Banff; it's spectacular, both the hotel and the surroundings. Can't you get there by train?
I live in a cold place so my idea of vacation is south. Not necessarily south of the border. I'd like to see Savannah and Charleston for sure. I don't know about Costa Rica, but Mexico has the worst diseases on the planet, according to my doc--worse than India and Africa he says. Argentina is so far south and so Europeanized that public health is not a problem.
Yeah, well, it wouldn't be the first time!
Chandra Leavy sure wishes she would have...
I know. It's frustrating. People are missing too much, maybe just because they don't know how to follow back the replies, I don't know.
Maybe just obtuseness, or unwillingness to believe that a young girl can actually be so gullible.
We were all young and gullible once.
Most of us survived it -- barely.
Once again, for those who are late the show and didn't read the thread, this title has been CHANGED. Before it read: "NATALEE HOLLOWAY (ARUBA) FORMALLY CHARGED WITH MURDER, KIDNAPPING." Okay? Thanks for the unwarranted criticism though.
See post #389.
Agreed, I'm shocked at the venom of some people blaming her. I would think most of it coming from people who had never been 18 year old girls who hadn't yet been exposed to the creeps of the world. Most of us end up with minor regrets. After trying to follow this story we should be grateful that's what we have.
I will say I'm more than a little bothered that it seems acceptable to go and drink with the attitude of "what happens in aruba stays in aruba". If it's against the rules at home, why was it winked at for a trip without parental attendance. (And don't give me the "18 year olds are adults) Not the one's that just turned, and I can't imagine they know how to handle their alcohol at that age) I don't understand how no one stays behind did everyone really get on the plane to come home?
I'm in my mid thirties with a very young toddler, and was discussing this with my mom. I said no way will my daughter go out of the country without me with her at that age. My parent's wouldn't let me go to Jamiaca on a Summer 'mission' trip with my youth group. I understand why now.
But I'm rambling, I would think the venom I see about her (not to mention to other posters on here), would be energy much better spent, earnestly praying for her, or at least her family and friends.
Yep, what you said. Poor kid.
Here I always thought that homocide is the killing of a Homo Sapiens sapiens but homicide is the killing of a home-boy.
Guess I was wrong, too.
As to the arrests, I would hope only the 'kidnapping' part is correct, though I won't hold my breath on it.
they hurt Natalee.......that is my opinion.....everything they have done since has been a cover-up.....
you can take a train into Jasper, but I don't know about Banff...
if you go, you must drive from Banff up to Jasper......178 miles one way and very worth the trip because its constant scenery...
must see's are Lake Louise, and if you can, hike up to the farthest tea house....well worth it and excillerating...
also, Morraine Lake....
Thanks for telling me. That's my kind of weather. 8>)
I apologize.
IMHO, I believe she went off to willingly have sex with all three men (at the same time). However, at some time during the DNA exchange, when she was alone with these three men she wanted to stop. By the time she said, "No", she was in way over her head. And the guys did not listen. The guys then probably raped her. Afterwards the guys realized what had happened and how much trouble they were now in. Then they either killed her or sold her. I feel so sorry and I hope I am so wrong...
Rent a canoe on Lake Moraine. It's fun. And let out a yodle or however you spell it.
BTW, sometimes you can wear every single thing you have with you in June. Everything.
If you camp, beware of grizzlies.
Paulus, I dont recognize your Flag. What country is that?
