2004 was not the right time for her to run for the Senate.

Now with more experience in the House she has a good record to run on and can raise the big bucks needed to win!

Be that as it may, neither of them have the name recognition, or voter identification Harris has. Simply stated, she's a celebrity and they aren't.

Actually Crist would beat Harris head-to-head in the primary and performs better in the general according to the polls. Gallagher polls very well too.

Moot point now, as both are going for broke for governor, with Crist starting out ahead.

And I look forward to watching the Dems in the Senate absolutely lose it the minute they see her face on the floor.

What a sweet dream it would be to see the woman the Dems vilified and tried to destroy......in the Senate!

The moonbats will bring up the 2000 election every 2 minutes.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Like Abu Grahb, flogging that pony could actually hurt the democrats.

She should stay in the House........

I like Hugh Hewitt's idea of TOMMY FRANKS running in FL for the Senate!

I've heard that Bill Nelson is apparently not going to run for re-election.

I've heard them both speak and I personally prefer Gallagher as he comes across more conservative than Crist.

She may win but she may turn off more than a few people.

This is politics. How can you win without turning off more than a few people. Woman has convictions. And as for the picture on the horse, never seen it before... all I can say is... WOW!

Really? From what I've read I've gotten the opposite view -- that Gallagher's more of an establishment don't-rock-the-boat guy and Crist is more of a social conservative.

I live in Alabama, but I am glad to see her run for the senate position. A very intelligent, classy, and attractive woman who will be a very valuable asset in the sentate. NSNR

I heard Gallagher speak out very clearly on pro-life issues & getting the Bush nominees a vote in the Senate.

Crist is a good guy but he just wasn't as direct as Gallagher.

I wasn't questioning you. Your comments just made me wonder how old she is.

Brit Hume just reported Nelson's response to word that Harris will run for the Senate.

Nelson said that Harris represents the extreme right while he represents the mainstream.

Just like Hillary....Nelson's record in the Senate may not be as 'mainstream' as he pretends. We'll have to check it out!.

The election 2000 trick won't work for the Democrats. They tried it on Jeb in 2002, and he won by double digits. They tried it against Bush in 2004, and we know the result there. I like Harris!

"Mainstream" to Nelson means he's only memorized half of the Communist Manifesto.

So much for "mainstream". He's going down, and he knows it.

"She should stay in the House". Hmmmmm, how about "She should stay in the Kitchen? LOL.

I'm overjoyed Harris is running. She'll be a great campaigner and a great senator.

I have a hunch Tommy Franks is hanging back this coming election and will run for something in the next presidential election. This would be great as this would help the GOP presidential candidate in Florida immensely.

Hey, I think Jeb 'n George 'n Harris 'n Tommy 'n Mehlman and other Republican leaders have things pretty well thought out for the next two elections.

I'm pleased as punch.
