Good morning, Billie and Finest Friends. I've been practicing at The Place. This is fun.
Thank you for this beautiful, educational thread, Billie.

Now is there a way to change the background color of a graphic here or should I redo the graphic in PaintShop?

Howdy, Miss Bluebird.
Kinda scary, this HTML stuff.
Cuz I worry I'm not up to snuff.
But with you as a guide, the horizon grows wide,
And I find this code ain't so tuff.
Ohhhhh, you are so cute! Now, I just *Knew* you would choose Example #6!!!! You fooled me. :) Beautiful picture!

Billie, this is a wonderful idea for a post! You are a born teacher. You have the ability to teach and instill confidence, all the while having great fun doing it. Just as with your "Fantastic Fonts" post, people are posting on the thread and saying....."Wow, look what I can do!" :-) HUGS! Thank you, sistah, for the sweet words. You know, to me, it's just fun to try and think of something that gets the people involved and participating this way! (Like your Play Day last week, when Dolly posted that *color test* - look how much fun we all had with that!)
And *we* are all still learning more about tables all the time. I think of some of our first threads here......LOL!

Dolly, Lori uses PhotoShop - she can tell you EXACTLY how to 'fill' that blank white 'thingie' with your textured background image. I'm sure it's a drag and drop the image up to your larger blank one in PhotoShop, too. That is one of the MAIN things to learn to do, so that your headings and your vignettes will blend in with the main background. I hate to see you buying yet another photo editing program.
Yes, it is dutchess who uses Picture It. Aqua has the two main programs I have - AdobePhotoDeluxe Home Edition 3 (no longer available, and NOT compatible with XP) - and the other one is Nova Exploration's Photo Explosion. (Snugs and JustAmy have just now bought this one, too) :)

Well, see how easy it is to change the look with changing just one background border thingie! You can also put a 'border' around that picture of the Cheneys by using virtually the same commands you use for the outside ones. If you type this:
<center>
<table background="http://d21c.com/billie/backgrounds/Calicobg1.jpg" cellpadding=4 border=2>
<tr><td>
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v683/fairlands/Dick%20Cheney/52040456.jpg" align=middle>
</td></tr<>/table<>/center>
it would look like this:

I recongized Dog in the upper right corner(face not body).. Jemian advised me this was an "old" pix when I tried to fix him up with her college age daughter. He looked college age to me. We are all young at heart even when the body, skin, & innards say otherwise - :)

Think I may have overdone the barb wire LOL Oh, the PICTURE colors are wonderful with this setup. But, try this again with the first (narrow outside border) one that same dark brown gradient that's next to your main table, THEN put the solid next to that, and leave the other three (the barbed wire, the dark brown, and the solid)the way you have them, okay? See if that works.

Hey there, JustFRiend Amy! I'm glad you're having some fun with this - your kidprint font and your graphic look GREAT!
As for changing the color of the background on that graphic, 'fraid you'll have to do that in PaintShopPro or some such. No magic formula here! LOl
