My granny was born in 1878, she weighed 3 pounds. She said they taped her head. She was a midwife in the Teton Valley in the early 1900's She used to tell us of all the tiny miracle babies she delivered, and cared for without modern technology.

The world is going to change dramatically in the next ten years. The goats will not fare well.

Thats a well reasoned point that hadn't occurred to me. Thanks for the comments. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Doctors used to take the Hippocritic oath, Now they take an oath as hypocrits.

Not all of them. I know some very fine doctors who are pro-life.

Good example of how the government limits progress. Then the socialist societies wonder why they have trouble keeping pace with free market nations technologically.

"The thought of this premature baby lying on the table while so called doctors and nurses stand by and watch it die is horrific." If you read some of the stories Jill Stanek tells from her abortion clinic days, this sort of thing happens all too often in America.

Good points. They're even more relevant since it is the government entering into the medical marketplace that has so screwed things up. When they decided to pay for medical benefits to the elderly, they developed a big stake in limiting the market prices. Now they want to cut anything they can, to keep that system afloat, even extending into areas that are not their own concern.
Don't doubt for a moment the weasels at private insurance companies aren't whining up a storm to their representatives. Thanks for the comments.

The medical care of these children gets better all the time and the age of viability continues to decrease.
That we are heading in this direction during a technical age when possibilities are endless never ceases to amaze me.
How sad.
