I wonder if in time Nixon's reputation will be resotred. I was always a NIxon fan. In terms of sheer brain power, I have always felt that he was the smartest POTUS in my lifetime.
Nixon did what he thought was the honorable thing given that we were in a dangerous position in the Cold War.
It's to incite anger in the middle east
And some in the media/press will hang anything they can on the US to achieve that goal
It always amazes me how Juan Williams portends to speak for the American People, and that nothing he ever says it rooted in reality.
Logic is not their strong suit.
Juan Williams says Terry Schiavo was a disaster for the Republicans. I think killing her was a disaster for Ms. Schiavo.
Sometimes what appears to be an unfair question is very beneficial, since a good answer exposes the charge as unfair.
....speaking of NBC, any opinions out there on Brian Williams? My brief exposures to him on Nightly News have shown a more fair presentation that Brokaw, and certainly better than the rest of the Alphabets.
I saw it. Biden said Dean's rhetoric is inappropriate, and he is not happy about it; and many 'Rats are not happy about it.
Juan Williams says things he wishes were true. I don't see it as a disastor for Republicans. But I do agree it was a disaster for Teri and her family.
"...with Greta I have no clue whether or not she will be mesmerized by el slicko."
All we will see of Gretna is her head bobbing up and down under the table.
Thanks for the confirmation. Just amazing.
Republicans four times as much moeny and 62,ooo NEW donors! Seems like the people are behind the REPUBLICANS!
I imagine that it will work against them rather than for them.
Still, the GOP needs to point out what the Left's enthusiasm with euthanasia is really about, where it can lead and point out the historical corollaries with such folks as the Nazis.
Howard Dean is the best Republican fund raiser since Hillary Clinton entered politics and John Kerry lied about Vietnam.
That is exactly what it is about.
Dear Lord, Nixon was a wonderful president. I hope God forgives me but that He understands that I didn't know any better.
His own paranoia did him in. But what danger did he present? He tried to cover up for his subordinates inept breakin of Demo headquarters. They were trying to get to a call girl list on which were plenty of Dem clients but MOST important, John Dean's wife.
Poor Nixon. He never deserved what he got but that's twice (once he walked away from an election that was highly suspect) that he did the honorable thing for his country.
Let them keep talking about it. Myself has been reading and listening to everything because I want to get my heaD straight on it.
Just remember...this is an era when we've all lived through Clinton. Those who endorsed just a sanction of Clinton are now wondering why Nixon went through so much when he did way less than Clinton.
Lots of those beauty shop gals commenting with just this question.
Sometimes the scales fall slowly but fall they will.
I agree I hope they keep Howard! I hope he brings his act to Indiana, more money will pour into GOP HQ.
Chris did a great job with that AI guy, but he would not let G. Gordon say much of anything! That was disgusting!
Agreed. The old trick of jinning up polls with phony questions has been exposed, but they still keep going with it because they, in their deepest places, rely on the perceived stupidity of the people. I think living in that imaginary world will hurt them, and I hope it does.
