ROFL!... he never let his own side in on the "internet" did he....He thought "gopher" would go on forever... (sigh) But of course, he and his party would like to see it "taxed". Now.

Stupid Al. He never knew that all this info at our fingertips would be the downfall of his party. Party on!

Maybe Felt thought if he were still alive after 30 years he'd out himself. TBH, I don't care to speculate the reason much less characterize it.

Well, you did characterize it as if he were held prisoner to the whims of Woodward and Bernstein. I simply pointed out he always had the choice. And now he's made the latest.

Felt was a law breaker. Tripp was not. Felt was not a hero because he was a law breaker. Tripp was a hero at the very least when she testified before the grand jury about travel gate and about Clinton's sexual advances toward Kathleen Willey.

My point is that there are those who believe Ms. Tripp is a hero and those who believe she is a traitor. Hero is not the right word for either of them.

Would you agree if I reworded my above statement to the following:

Did you think Linda Tripp is a hero?

Since you just hammered another poster for their grammar and syntax...your question regarding Linda Tripp should ask whether she is a heroine, rather than a hero. :o)

Thank you for your clarification and the daughter will not receive any portion of his retirement upon his death. NSNR

And this is a news flash? I can think of a half dozen instances over the last 6 months alone where the holier-than-thou crowd has made me ashamed to be here.

Fortunately, there are still enough sane/rational folks left to balance it out......

Oh that rascally Al. He keeps hoping "foreign dignitaries" will help he and his party. I can just see him saying to Kofi Annan (over the phone): "Kofi-woffee, that's a bad break. I told you long ago those Republicans were evil. BTW, you did shred those particular documents we spoke about on December 14, 1998, didn't you? Tipper is shipping her famous pork-stir-fry to you via express, she misses you too."

The first picture makes me suspicious, the bottom confirms it.

She has no class. White trash.
This is not about HER. But you would not know it from that grin on her face.

Well, now we know just WHY Nixon was so paranoid.

You don't piss off a bunch of communists at that point in history without having to look over your shoulder for the rest of your political career.

I didn't characterize it the way you say. I merely stated that after his death he would have no control over what anyone said. While he's still alive he has a little control by rebuttal. Or do you disagree?

My family made sure my grandparents stayed at home until they day they died. It was not easy. It took a toll on everyone. There were days the resentment flowed.

But we loved them.

None of us did it for the hope of it being "worth something."

We did it out of love. And when they died within a few weeks of each other, We all could hold our heads high. Not one of us said "Do we get anything for our time and trouble?"

No, we would have taken them both back in a heartbeat.

Well of course. My point is that if this woman stayed home to take care of her Father and it was her Father's money that supported them, so what?
