My family made sure my grandparents stayed at home until they day they died. It was not easy. It took a toll on everyone. There were days the resentment flowed.

But we loved them.

None of us did it for the hope of it being "worth something."

We did it out of love. And when they died within a few weeks of each other, We all could hold our heads high. Not one of us said "Do we get anything for our time and trouble?"

No, we would have taken them both back in a heartbeat.

Well of course. My point is that if this woman stayed home to take care of her Father and it was her Father's money that supported them, so what?

EXACTLY!!! Not "cash-in." We did the same with my grandfather.
