On average, about six children under the age of 10 have committed murder or non-negligent homicide a year in the United States since 1976, said James Alan Fox, a professor of criminal justice at Northeastern University in Boston. Anahad O'Connor usually writes about health and medicine. I'm inclined to think that was her contribution.

>>The police said the 9-year-old stabbed Queenie in the chest with a steak knife. The blade perforated the older girl's heart, killing her as she stumbled out of the apartment and tried to make it to the elevator down the hall, the police said.<<
I'm going to be sick.

I knew kids like this in school. They have no control over themselves. The schools hold them until they go to prison.

Clearly England is on the right path. We need knife control here as well. If that doesn't work, chop sticks will be the only approved untensils.

Actually, in reading the entire article, my neighbor's girl is just like this.
I want nothing to do with the family. My hubby doesn't get it. He really likes the husband and with the husband goes the daughter.
After putting my foot down months ago, my hubby decided to ask this guy for help in a project. With him came the 9 year old daughter. With no warning, I saw them out the window. I ran around the house closing curtains so my girls would not see her.
My hubby doesn't get it.

I wonder what they'll ban when strangulation becomes problematic? Hmmm?

SPOILED BRAT. Sounds like the little five-year old perp who tore up the classroom. Wonder what she'll be like to live with as she grows older.

Poor impulse control
While one might argue that some hormone is responsible, I suspect it is a lack of parental control.
I remember seeing my nephew reaching for something one day.
His father told him "Kenny, put that down!" Kenny ignored him. His father said "Kenny, if you don't put that down right now, I am going to come over there and spank you!!!" Kenny ignored him. His father said "Kenny, that is it! If you don't put it down right this very second, I am going to come over and spank you!!!" at the top of his lungs. At this point, Kenny was bored and moved on to something else.
Years of trouble, yelling without action, failure, Ritalin, selling Ritalin at school, Juvenile Hall, pot, meth, and who knows what else have passed by since that day.
Kenny is now in the Ohio state penitentiary serving 8 years to life.
His father has no idea what went wrong with that boy.
I bet that if you asked, he would say Kenny had poor impulse control.

Another example of the fatherless and godless generation.

Don't make statement like the above until you think them through because I know of cases where schools turned kids into monsters because those schools were turned into 'Zero Tolerance' prisons.
To: netmilsmom
Stick to your guns, gal. Protecting your kids comes first. If you feel that there is something wrong with this child or she may present a danger to your kids, you are perfectly justified in putting your foot down. Show this article to your hubby, maybe he'll get it then.

Another example of the fatherless and godless generation. And that is really all that needs to be said.
