W. Mark Felt is Deep Throat

No, I've got two hard facts on my side.

1. Mark Felt never smoked.
2. Woodward and Berstein won't confirm Felt as being Deep Throat.

My money says that people are taking advantage of an old man suffering from dementia. That's not grasping at straws; that's a very real possibility.

This is so typical of the MSM and the rats. They are putting the confessional words in his mouth via his family.

Deepthroat was as real as Mickey Mouse.

This isn't the craziest guess for DT. FReepers have posted a lot of links that suggest he was pegged almost from the start back in the 70s, but he just denied it like all the non-DTs. The reaction is almost uniformly, "Yeah, that's what I thought all along" to this news. And DT is a real person. Woodstein said they'd announce it once DT died.

Somebody beat Woodward to the punch by revealing "Deep Throat" & since Woodward can't prove Felt isn't Deep Throat he's screwed. All this time Woodward has had a built in newsmaker by use of his literary device "Deep Throat" but he waited too long.

If Deep Throat is Felt, why wouldn't Woodard and Bernstein confirm that after Deep Throat outed himself?

Because they got scooped!

They thought they had at least another ten years of publicity from Deep Throat. Now, we know they were just being fed information from someone at the FBI! Not much "reporting" if you ask me.

If Woodward and Bernstein are ever caught having fabricated facts about Watergate and/or Deep Throat, then *everything* that they reported will be discredited.

It's a pile of steaming coil.

Either Woodstein made up elements of the book, or the screenwriter did.

In one scene, they use a potted plant in an apartment within visual distance of Woodward's apartment as a signal to meet.

Can you imagine how difficult a signal that is to set? The apartment was not on ground level, which meant you somehow had to get the tenant to move the plant for you, then move it back again.

I think there is several instances of this sort of embellishment.

There were probably other sources, but DT was a real person who was at the center of the information. DT is sort of "Felt+".

He also had several secret "conversations" with Bill Casey when Casey was in a coma and Casey's family never left his side and claim never to have seen Woodward.
